Unused piercing variables?

Was mucking about in .minerva and stumbled over piercing flags/strings. Was curious, is there any way to obtain such things ingame? Or are they simply placeholders for (hopefully) future content.
Would like a pair of earrings on my demon-morph

TiTS started off from recycled CoC code there's a lot of left over stuff from CoC in there. The piercings are an example of that.
