Unguligrade description.

It is time we have this talk. As it stand the description is not truly in the game, nor is there a global value for it. Several characters and body type use this leg type. Mino's, Taur's, and Deermorphs, (soon) and yet the only description we have is,  ""jointed oddly" so lets kick around a better description so it could properly be added to a global value.

Digitigrade has an extended foot, where the ball of the foot is where the weight is placed and what people usually call the (reverse)knee is actually the ankle. Unguligrade walk tip-toe on top of a keratin formation(same material as hair/teeth/nails). The difference is more in the foot than the leg, and a concise yet accurate description that differentiates correctly doesn't come to mind. Simply put, it's not a big deal.

The difference is far greater then that, it adds a new joint. I'm having the same problem with coming up with a god description as well.

Adding this as a global value means we can have this leg type in different feet then hoofs. like demon heel feet. hoofs are the only place were it exit now It seams to overwrite leg type all together, Regardless of Digitigrade or Plantigrade

That's what I'm saying, it's not a new joint. Each of the three leg types have the same number of parts. Non plantigrade legs have some parts extended. What you're confusing as an extra part on unguligrade are that they are standing on the equivalent of toe-nails. Take that picture you just posted, and count. Including nails and the ankle as their own sections, you get 7 for all of them (or 8 if you're counting the two fused parts of the ankle separately).

Well knowledge of anatomy is very useful for many things:


- biology (medical and paramedical professions, veterinarians,...)


- art (especially helpful to make dogs and does look different) and animation


- fighting (ie self defense, martial arts)


- or even any sport


- contraception/procreation/pregnancy/sex


Unfortunately, then there are also idiots who don't know whether they can have sex during their pregnancy because, quote: "But I'm pregnant with a baby girl, what if she gets pregnant too ?"

My thoughts exactly when I heard that. Fortunately, this is not one of my relatives, so I don't have to worry about the gene pool in my family. For the human species's as a whole on the other hand...
