Ultimate Moves

So... how does one get their companions to use their ultimate moves? The only one I've seen in action thus far is Cait's healing power, and that kicks in automatically. Is there something that triggers them?

The best way is to use manual combat, from what i've seen

Companions will never use their ultimates on AI, you must manually activate them. This is a conscious design decision.
