Introduction:
Witch's Brew is a sandbox text based interactive fiction game. The World of Witch's brew is a world on the brink of change. Although monsters and magical abilities have mostly vanished from the world, long forgotten by the humans who now settle in the furthest reaches of the wilderness, magic has not been totally forgotten.

Story:
You play as a young woman who acts as healer to the town of Vensbruck. The townsfolk love and respect you despite your reclusiveness, but you harbor a dark secret, however. Before your mentor died she trained you as a witch, one of the last keepers of magic and alchemy. Now, you may choose to use your abilities for good or evil, either corrupting the innocent townsfolk or helping them. Whatever you choose to do may land you in a struggle for power and change the course of history.

Setting
: Vensbruck is a small medieval town in a mostly low fantasy world. The townsfolk live pastoral lives, unaware of the traces of a fantastical past which still linger nearby.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is text and narrative based. Most of the content is in written scenes. There are some puzzles similar to the ones which can be found in classic adventure games. You will also have to build relationships with the various townsfolk similar to dating sim games.

Mechanics:
  • Potion Crafting: In order to influence the town you will have to craft potions out of the ingredients you find around town. Potion making is largely an experimental process with some hints along the way.
  • Relationships: You will meet many characters and have the chance to befriend, romance, and corrupt them. Some may make this easier than others.
Current Adult Content:
  • Pairings: Male x Female, Female x Female, Male x Male
  • Races/Species: Human (currently)
  • Fetishes: BDSM, Humiliation, Sleeping sex, Transformation, Handjobs, Groping, Spanking, Public Harassment, Blowjobs, Incest, Masturbation, Submission, Domination, some Netorare.

Planned Adult Content:
  • Pairings: Transwoman x Man/Woman
  • Races/Species: More races will be included.
  • Fetishes: Breast Enlargement, Exhibitionism, Cock enlargement, Double Penetration, Gangbang, Hypnosis, Milking, Mind control, Monsters, Tentacles, Beast, MtF transformation, Femdom, Mindbreak, Addiction, Pregnancy and more of what's already in game.

The game needs many improvements to be somewhat decent as a base, one of the most important ones is adding a book recype and naming potions. You see, you can't expect the players to remember what combination did what, so adding a book that records it would be nice, it would be even better if you could directly make said potion if we wanted during potion crafting, like giving us the option if we want to investigate (try to create a new potion) or make a known potion. There are two parts to potion crafting, first getting a new potion and second getting to know it's effects, even more it feels it could be important to know how to "counter" those effects in case it was permanent. In fact I do wonder if you have any plan to be able to become a futanari.

In second place you should make it clear what ingredients can be found on what place. Adding another book of locations and adding into it what we find in each place while showing indirectly how many ingredients are htere by showing a "???" symbol when they are unknown, for example let's say that in the forest you can find 4 types of ingredients, while you didn't find them you should get 4 files of "???" when you manage to get them all then it would be filled.

Visually it would be nice to add a few maps and images, it can get a bit boring to only find text.

Related to characters I believe it would be nice to have information about them, creating a part on the main menu called "characters" would be really helpful, even more being able to see their corruption and things like that would be really useful.

More or less these are the few things that I find the game needs out of playing it.

P.D: Almost forgot!, it would be nice to have a few RPG elements like increasing your magic or finding more ingredients or perhaps to even be able to obtain more than one potion and things like that.

Even more it can be nice too if the witch can have bad things happen to her based on the corruption she did. Kind of like a backlash

Thanks for the feedback! I am planning to add a more comprehensive journal which tracks notes about different potions and ingredients, but also has notes on the characters and their stats. Before the game gets too large I will likely overhaul the potion system so that it supports multiple potions and potion naming. As for futanari content, I hope to add a few different types. Initially the player will not have access to anything powerful enough to create permanent fully functional dicks, instead there will be more temporary potions. Eventually I want the character to have more freedom with their genitals, but that also involves modifying and adding variants to existing scenes, (although some of those variants already exist, waiting for me to add a way to access them).

Images as well would be nice, but I am not such a great artist. Maps may be doable, and I'll definitely look into that. Portraits is something I would like, but will have to commission an artist for. Thanks again for all your feedback! I hope you enjoy everything to come!

Hello everyone! I'm happy to announce that I have finished work on a new version for Witch's Brew! This update contains around 20,000 words of new content. I am planning on releasing 2-3 updates a month with about this much content. In the future there will only be one public update a month, but I've decided to release this one to the public as an example of how much content to expect from the backer patches. This means the next couple patches of this size will be exclusive to Patrons in the $3 tier and up.
Another reason I'm making this a public build is because I have just crossed the 100,000 word mark for the project. This is a big milestone for me, so I'm happy to share my work so far!
Now, enough business, let me tell you about the build!
This patch adds a variety of content and a few bug fixes. Most notably, there is now a new character to meet! Marius is a dashing smuggler from the city who will help you procure rare ingredients for your potions. I'm looking forward to building some interesting scenes around him in the future. There are also new scenes with Leah and a little bit more with Reya.

- Added a way to complete the Obtaining Oil quest and procure Lepidenum oil as a potion base.
- Introduced a new character (Marius) with a few scenes to build tension.
- Added a scene where you can give Reya a potion, along with a variants for dominance and submissiveness
- Added 4 new scenes in the hospital, 2 solo, and 2 with Leah. All involve the specter haunting the building.
- Added another way to convince Francis to help you, involving certain information about his wife.
- Added a variant scene for Maggie which involves giving her Mesmer pollen, a new ingredient.

- Added an ingredient to replace spectrewort which will have interesting interactions in the next build.

Hey everyone! SylvieCa here, with a new update for Witch's Brew. This update includes the last two patron builds and all of the new content for 0.06. The story now has over 170,000 words of content.
