Changing your character's preferred gender or race at any point in the opening of the game will pull you from the tutorial, allowing free movement and blocking off any interaction with Jack/Jill, you can still access first-14 but must do so manually, Jack/Jill will permanently have no assigned gender for the rest of the run, appearing with no photo and "Jack/Jill" substituting the name
