Do it yourself. Are there plans on updating the wiki with all the new stuff that’s been added?
Look who you're responding to here. Bro can barely read and you think he's gonna update and help maintain a wiki?Do it yourself.
That's not me being a jerk, you can literally do it yourself.
It was just a question, plus I suck at writingDo it yourself.

Judging by your post history on these forums that is extremely doubtful. What do you mean? I can read
No, I'm speaking in general about the posts you've made. And 1 year is old, here we go with your weird conception of time again. Are you saying that because there’s already a thread about it? Here, if a thread is even a year old you get called out for necroing a thread, even though 1 year isn’t old
My apologies, I've had a really bad today and am in a foul mood. You're right that it wasn't a good idea and I apologize. I personally find this guy really aggravating and annoying so he became a target for my ire. That doesn't justify it but I will stand by the spirit of my remarks as I think I was telling the truth about him even if the time and place was the wrong one to bring it up. But I'm gonna bow out now and go cool off. I really shouldn't come here anymore as it brings out a side of me that I don't like sometimes. So consider this my last post here.@TheIrishOtaku What made you think, that instantly derailing a thread by attacking it's OP in your first post was a good thing to do? I wouldn't have expected that from someone who's usually one of the first to chastise necromancers.
Oh ok, I thought there was a set team that was handling the wiki@Skylinegtr34 The wiki isn't official so probably anyone from the playerbase can contribute. I think it was even explained in some thread on this forum how someone can go about it.

Last post for real this time since you felt the need to poke me again. I already explained that in my post responding to Bast. This is what I mean when I say you don't read! Now, I'm going to leave for real this time before I say something I truly regret to you. I apologized and explained my reasoning so lets just drop it.If you don’t like me, why even respond to my post?
I’m talking about this, you went out of your way to say this, but you hate me, I don’t get itLook who you're responding to here. Bro can barely read and you think he's gonna update and help maintain a wiki?
why are you reiterating my own explanation for why its tedious to update the wiki to me, one of the people who has done the tedium of updating the wikiThe javascript transfer did make grabbing stuff for the wiki a lot more tedious. Back when the GitHub was constantly updated it was very easy to check in and edit pages based on what new additions you find in the code there. Now you have to actually go through the scenes itself to do so which adds more to do for so little; you have to proc EVERY variation in a scene if there are any (which is very likely given the nature of the game) and go through multiple pathways to document everything on the wiki to get it to a level it is not outdated now and so on, and with how behind it is given there's a section for outdated pages it's somewhat a PITA.
(Not saying it isn't being updated still, but that definitely put something of a wall up to deal with)
I was agreeing with you, but alright. ://why are you reiterating my own explanation for why its tedious to update the wiki to me, one of the people who has done the tedium of updating the wiki
in the same way that Obama used to be the president.Wasn’t seriousbluejewel was doing the wiki?

I misunderstood how the writing for the wiki worked, I thought there was a set person/team working on itin the same way that Obama used to be the president.
seriously, i was keeping my mouth shut but its comments and questions like this that make people react like this
indeed. someone should really put a nice big notice on the wiki that it's volunteer maintainedI misunderstood how the writing for the wiki worked, I thought there was a set person/team working on it

Last I heard, the Wiki wasn't accepting new editors because of bots/spam. Maybe that's changed?
And the Wiki thread is Stickied. That probably changes the stance on thread necromancy. (If it doesn't, it should.)
It's been kind of slow going, but there have been things added recently. Most of the editors got out of the habit during the JavaScript port. It also doesn't help that while the code is accessible, it's a pain to read (all the function names are minimized).
I feel like there’s always a need for the wiki for people that have a selective/bad memory like me, the reliance on the wiki doesn’t mean you guys failed to design the game well, it’s information that’s available to players so they don’t have to come here everytime they need to ask a question/help about the game, at least that’s how I saw it I'm going to take some opportunity to clarify some things, for the benefit of everybody involved.
We as the staff have no desire or time to maintain the content present on the wiki's; it's a large time investment that we feel would be better spent on actually working on content and bugs in the actual game. That said, I run the server software FOR the wiki, because we were pissed off at the wiki hosting sites getting canabilized and rotating and vanishing constantly, and it's clear that we also need the ability to step in from time to time to make sure the content that is on the wiki isn't outright lies and invented bullshit that has no bearing on reality (don't ask). I just make sure it's up, available, has whatever plugins makes the job easier, and that it's backed up.
My opinion on matters is that the more reliant people are on the wiki for information about the game the more we've failed to design the game well. I don't think we'll ever perfectly eliminate the need for it, but there are regular discussions about how we can handle things to reduce the need for the wiki to be the arbiter of all knowledge about the game; we've gone to lengths to move a lot of the documentation about combat mechanics into the codex for example, we're constantly trying to improve the telegraphing of options and requirements so that information about how to access a scene is right there in the game, rather than some mystery only for those already in the know. The tooltips on locked entries in the image gallery is an example of us trying to have this type of information in the game itself.
We don't generally advertise it, it's more of a "if people we know, and have proven to be capable ask, we'll let them in", but we had to become a lot more assertive about this because we had community members fabricating information and backstory for characters that was Extremely No Beuno.
Again though, I feel like "unclarity" in the game shouldn't be solved via dumping information on the wiki, it should be solved by improving the game itself. Picking through code to produce wiki entries is the wrong way to think about it imo. Specific information and requirements ideally should be observable from the game itself.
Plus it's a useful tool for people who are just in it for the smut and want to speed run to whatever scenes they want.I feel like there’s always a need for the wiki for people that have a selective/bad memory like me, the reliance on the wiki doesn’t mean you guys failed to design the game well, it’s information that’s available to players so they don’t have to come here everytime they need to ask a question/help about the game, at least that’s how I saw it
