Cynthia opens her mouth as if to say something, then closes it and shakes her head.

He blinks down at her phone. "Okay... But we don't have it." He says, looking back at her. "Although maybe we can purchase and download it online...." He murmurs, rubbing his chin.

 

[Floozer]

"Duh! Cynthia, you got a big screen terminal in here?" She asks curiously.

 

[Archangel99]

"There's one in the rec room, Olivia." Cynthia reminds her. "A game system too. Also with a bunch of AO games."

 

[Floozer]

"Perfect! Then I can use my phone to buy it and download it into the systems archive!" She says in a chipper voice.

 

[Archangel99]

"Well... Lead the way, then..." Alex says, shrugging and pushing her towards the door.

 

[Floozer]

She heads for the rec room and flops herself down on the couch in front of the system. With a few quick pokes she orders up the game and plugs her phone into the system. It takes 10 minutes to transfer but soon the system pings and the console glows with the Space RAce 14 screen "Easy!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Oookay, then..." Alex says, shrugging and taking a seat beside her in the beanbag cushion. He picks up one of the four controllers lying on the table, and it automatically syncs when it senses the warmth from his hand.
"Get it started. You're player one, anyway." He says, shrugging.

 

[Floozer]

"Yea yea, duel race, three lap race... oooh, lets go to lava zone! I'm going to be... Phantasmal Ray!" She picks the big manta ray man.

 

[Archangel99]

"I seriously wonder how he drives without tearing his fins off..." Alex mutters when he sees her character. "I think I'll go with Cobra. This course looks like it could use good handling..." He says, the skin around his eyes tightening a bit as he watches the screen. His fingers are hovering over the buttons, ready to snap down as soon as the light goes green.

 

[Floozer]

"Alright then, match start!" 3... 2... 1... GO!

With an explosive release of breath, Alex crosses the finish line first. "Shit! That was hard!" He groans, shaking his hand.

 

[Floozer]

"Damn it! That was just a warm up! ....heh, warm up... lava... i'm funny. you pick next."

 

[Archangel99]

His face cracks into a grin at the pun, and he selects his next course, the underwater aquarium.
"Weeeelll... Let's see... I think I'll take Brutus..." He says, selecting a large, powerfully built black man with a skull mask over his face.

 

[Floozer]

"Alright... I will take... BIG BULL!" She picks a massive man in power armor with a helmet modded to look like a bulls.

 

[Archangel99]

"Hmm... Lot of speed and acceleration... But handling is almost crap. You sure you want that?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

 

[Floozer]

"Yea, look at the map, the turns here are all really easy."

 

[Archangel99]

"True. Aw shit. Should have taken that guy..." Alex says, wincing.

[Alex: 12 - 2 = 10]
[Olivia 6 + 2 = 8]

"Well whaddya know. Who knew this course had traps!?" He says, laughing as Olivia is shot through the roof of the aquarium for the tenth time, and getting snapped up by a shark.

 

[Floozer]

Her jaw drops as she is already two behind him "Screw you Alex! I am going to bounce back! you will see! One more race, hit the random button!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Sure." He hits the race, and the lava track pops back up, set to extreme difficulty.
He gets Big Bull, and immediately starts swearing, while Olivia gets Lancer, a rather tall, skinny man with high top speed and acceleration, but medium handling.

 

[Floozer]

"Well, I got the better racer this time... hopefully that will mean something!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Nah. I've already won two out of three races. We are doing best out of three, right?" He asks, raising an eyebrow as the timer starts counting down.
