Speaking of the landing pics reminding people of something else, the Tarkus landing pic reminds me of the cutscene at the begining of the final level of Halo Combat Evolved "The Maw" where the Master Chief flies toward the crash site of the Pillar of Autumn which is in a desolate desert region of Installation 04 kinda like the surface of Tarkus.
