The Femboy Problem

I can't play CoC mods anymore. I've completely run out of patience with both Revamp and Xianxia.
My absolute favorite character to play as in CoC is a femboy, a male character with the Androgyny perk and 100 femininity. Femboys are by far the thing I'm the most attracted to in both porn and IRL.

However for whatever reason both mods seem to insist on referring to my femboy characters as female and it completely ruins the game for me. Because every time I play the game I cringe when my lovers call me a woman and Helspawn calls me "Mom".

The new versions of Revamp and Xianxia call my character a "Shemale" which is incredibly offensive, but the old versions had the audacity to call them "Dickgirls" which is an absolutely reprehensible thing to call a person. Not to mention Uma still calls me a femboy and several other characters are designed to meet that archetype, namely Rubi and Joey, and yet my characters aren't given the same treatment.

I cannot bring myself to keep playing these things because they ruin my enjoyment entirely and actually manage to seriously piss me off. Which is a damned shame because CoC is really fun and addicting. But I can't take my characters being misgendered and given offensive and demeaning labels anymore.

This had been brought up before but neither mod has done anything about it. I'm not posting this to say "fuck you" but to voice a concern and explain why CoC just isn't fun for me anymore. Sorry but I just needed to vent and these emotions have been brewing for a while.

Porn isn't real life and content creators rely on that (or might not know any better). Personally, I would discuss this with those who run the mods.
Similarly, fantasy games do not have to deal with real life trans woes or genetic conditions. Do you know of any non-real life slur ways to designate fantasy females who were born with male genitalia or fantasy male who were born with female genitalia?

Anyway, it looks like a flag issue or something along the lines of that.

I brought it up with Kitteh and others have brought it up to Ormael. Yet nothing has changed.
Besides what is even the point of being trans in CoC? The champion is in a world where you can change your gender as easily as you change clothes.
I also don't care for the game automatically assuming that my character is trans just because he acts girly. Especially when Rubi and Joey are already non-trans femboys, yet my character can't get the same treatment.

If the game doesn't meet your personal preferences that seems more like your problem than anything else. If you don't like it than I would consider not playing the game instead of demanding that the creators cater to you specifically.

@Nyseron They have to re-do the system that determines, organizes, and displays those adjectives. The part of the program that determined it before isn't up to date with the rest of the additions to the mod that affects its inner workings. That sort of stuff takes time to do for one thing, plan out, and then implement with some form of stability. From what I recall, attempts have been made to correct it. Coding is tedious, and more of a hassle than a lot of people perceive it is. If anything you should be glad both of them are sitting down and putting aside a couple of hours of their free time to breath life into the game. If it's so frustrating for you to deal with, you can either code the necessary fix yourself or stop playing the game and decide whether or not to wait it out until they fix it or move on in life.

I think you should take a break from porn and probably go pick up a hobby. Too much of it tends to frack up the mind.

Not gonna lie I was kinda irrational when I wrote this. I think a lot of stress was just building up from personal shit and it kinda exploded. Sorry to take out my aggression here. Once I get thinking about certain things it kinda snowballs from there.

I'm not gonna say I've changed my mind on the femboy thing but I realize now that I went way over the top and took my aggression out on people that don't deserve it. Sorry.

In the Appearance page there are gender settings, NPCs will always refer to your character as male if you set it to male.
Where? I don't see it.

You are referring to the TiTs menu. In TiTs they fixed a lot of problems, displays and technical code settings. The hugest issue that creaters had with the first game was the cluster fuck of code they used that was in need of serious fixing. However like Wicas posted it's not that simple to fix really. There's a lot of crazy technicality from CoC, TiTs, FeO. CoC was the first so it's the most wacky in that regard.

Oh shit son I have not had the chance to download the modded versions. I just got a laptop but I got no internet. I did not know of this only that there were issues with CoC at the time when the creatures were working on it.

A special snowflake reeing that fictional characters are assuming his gender, which was easily addressed by an in-game option that has existed for a while.

Wow.

Let me dissect this sentence.

A special snowflake

I've heard that term before. Almost exclusively being said by edgy fourteen year olds or people with that mentality.

It really is easy to dismiss something a person is saying by equating it to an over used meme.

that fictional characters are assuming his gender

My character's gender, not mine. This was a feature that existed in previous version that the mods removed. I was just saying that it spoiled my enjoyment. That's it.

which was easily addressed by an in-game option that has existed for a while.

In the Xianxia version, not the revamp. Frankly the Xianxia one isn't that good. No offense intended to Ormael but it's always super buggy and imbalanced.

You definitely seem like a mature individual.

Well the current version of Revamp seems to list as femboy now when you have high feminity with a flat bust.

Can I just say that please don't apologize or made to feel that you "overreacted" when you had a genuine annoyance that was ruining your fun. I get the whole code thing and the time it takes to reedit/mod it to properly use the preferred pronouns and labels you'd like. As long it's something being worked on or noted to implement in future projects then that's all well and good. I do absolutely hate though any time I've seen someone voice their dislike for the "dickgirls/shemales" or getting misgendered and then suddenly most that do respond tend to be dismissive of the issue, calls them sensitive/snowflakes, or oh my favorite, it's porn don't bring social politics in here!!

My, how dare someone want to see themselves or their character be rightly represented, right?

Anyways, yeah, glad to see someone else brought up that one mod because at least you can choose which to go by. Hopefully for COC2 and such will remember to include this choice. Hope you can enjoy the game again.

EDIT: I didn't mean to bump this back up and start anything. I didn't even realize the date before replying.

The problem isn't when someone voicing their opinions on something they dislike.

The problem is when they make it a moral issue and start virtue signalling while proceeding to demand changes to the things they dislike. Even worse, when they do this aggressively and in an insulting tone.

It isn't your game. It isn't your mod. Dickgirls/shemales arent slurs. The game doesn't have to appeal to everyone, nor should/will it. By all means, suggest things. State your opinons. Give insight. But flying off the handle about how unaccetable something is and how offended you are about someone else's work, just because it doesn't please you, isn't okay.

But he apologized and explained the reaction so things are bueno. And yes, people should apologize for overreacting. We all have bad moments, but there is no reason to defend them.
