Starting a new game makes Persistent Storage pop-up appear and the game crashes if I try to interact with it

hey so I was starting a new game, I customized Steele and the Persistent Storage pop-up appeared. I play on browser and I never know how to interact with the pop-up, nothing ever appears saying "press this" so I just stay there doing nothing until i hit the delete button and then the game crashes. what to do

Load your save, then go to your data menu and click on autosaves in the top left. Turn them to "Off." Voila, problem solved.

but I don't want the new game to be saved into my pre-existing save, will enabling autosaves do this?

Autosaves do not overwrite manual saves, they are kept in a separate location.
