Squeezing Knees

Huh? Is squeezing one's knee something one does in difficult/embarrassing situations? This follows me choosing to talk to her, not capping her with a baseball bat. Nor anyone else's, as an excuse of squeezing her "own" knee.

Despite the sarcasm, I'm asking here honestly before I assume it's a sentence that needs fixing and posting in the Bug forum.

I guess if you're sitting down, but I dunno, it just reads kind of awkward. "She trails off after that simple announcement, wringing her hands" would be a better descriptive act IMO.

You put your hands up in as disarming a fashion as you can, and your companions look to you before stowing their weapons. "I just want to talk." You say, looking around for a place to sit down. "Just to talk? Fair enough..." She smiles faintly, buzzing down to join you as you pick out a large enough log to sit on. "What did you want to talk about?"
