for some reason i cannot proc Specter of the Wyld, even though i did finish act 1, and im already like 95% through the glacial rift

Has Hethia arrived at the palace yet? This is particularly an issue on legacy saves that never completed Dog Days, but even non-legacy saves might not have her if Champ never visited the palace after finishing the fight against Alissa.

yes, she's there. and yes, ive visted the palace multiple times. Nothing. I even checked to see if i complete the quest and forgot bout it, it's not there in the log.

The quest doesn't appear in the log at all, so that wouldn't do it. If you can speak to Etheryn on her throne and see the "Spend Time" button, that means you've already completed it at some point.

hm, good to know, cause that does appear. Which is strange because she doesnt have any of her boosted stats, nor did i get any items from that quest...hm...

I think all of the items are missable, and most of them are just cash, tomes, and consumables. (The Frozen Crown is missable, too, but it's not an inventory item. I think it's actually not even a key item either, just tracked via flag, although I could be wrong about that.)

You also miss Etheryn's stat boosts if you resolve the confrontations suboptimally; failing to reunite Atheldred and Synneva (i.e. banishing Synne or Athel in combat, or return Synne's spirit to the beyond via Hethia or sex) locks you out of Ryn's first stat boost, and choosing to have sex with them together instead of bringing them together to talk to Etheryn locks you out of the second one.

There's definitely a "best route" in the dungeon and missing it is going to leave you without much of a reward. However, it does ungate aspects of Etheryn's relationship, so there's that, at least.

yeah, i know, there is even the issue or Arona, been trying to get her shaman's clothing too, there is only one way i can do that now. ah well. thanks.

Fortunately, the ghost minos in the Tiran shrine should always be there, even when you're not doing the dungeon, so you can reliably get Arona's ghost set that way.

bit of a necro thread, but i cant proc it either, and i have everything op had, but i dont have the spend time option. the wiki is unfortunately lacking on the prerequisites

As far as I know, the requirements are just:

a. Complete the Palace of Ice.
b. See the event where Hethia comes to the palace. You might also need to talk to Elthara? But I don't know about the latter.
c. Travel to the Glacial Rift. You might need to walk a few tiles in.
d. Event should start the next time you enter the palace doors.

If you don't have the Spend Time event available, then you haven't done the dungeon, unlike OP.
