I can't tell from the wording if the quest is specifically for getting Brienne or if getting Brienne is completely optional because I'm very curious about that dungeon, but I love my bara bull boyfriend Brint exactly as he is. I would much appreciate it if anyone could let me know. Thanks in advance!

The quest that lets you get Brienne is different from the quest that has a new dungeon.

As far as the actual quest that gives you Brienne, you shouldn't have any issues keeping Brint as long as you actually read the scenes and quest states.
