ship gem puzzle

so Im on the ship with gweyr and at the gem puzzle. I believe I have it right but nothing is happening. what I have is Top: amber, jade, pearl. Middle: lapis, amethyst. Bottom: agate.

Anyone know what i did wrong?

The thing that seems to keep tripping people up here is not realizing that diagonals are adjacent.

Does however long you take to solve it affect how much 'time' passes in this stealth mission?

Or perhaps does cancelling out without successfully completing it causes more 'time' to pass from your failure?

Just curious how that detail is handled.

Someone asked a question like that in a thread that covered all possible outcomes on the ship. Time does not pass while solving the puzzle, despite what the in game text says.
