Hmm let's see. I was definitely not as into furries before as I am right now, so I have this site to thank for that. Also taur bodies too.

Also pregnancy I guess? I was always into bloated bellies but it was always about impregnating someone else. However in CoC and TiTs allow such immersion into our character that when my avatar in game got impregnated it felt much more personal. Now I'm spending my TiTs play through pretty much constantly pregnant, even added an extra vagina so that while my precious babies with Sera are still tucked safely inside, I can still get knocked up by whatever creature I can get my hands on.

Another major thing was that the latex goo girl in CoC made me realize that I had a latex fetish. I've personally never felt comfortable self-inserting in these sorts of games, it's always been about playing shoulder angel/devil. My gut instinct is that people who self-insert pick up new fetishes more readily, but I'd like to see some data on it.

Have to agree with noobie here. In my experience as a player of these kind of games, and more importantly, as a dealer through whom a decent amount of relative normies got in - the self-inserting surely grants stronger versions of fetishes, but simultaneously, most people that play this way are much more picky and less likely to explore anything really alien to them. But as soon as you start treating it as a way to make one character whose physical you find perfectly bangable to get into a whole slew of weird-yet-sexy situations...

Well in my opinion there are two kinds of fetishes: those which you wish to do/see on others, and those which you wish to do/see on yourself. From personal experience I find that if you're able to self-insert into your avatar, you can more easily pick up the latter and vice versa.
