So... without going too deep into spoilers the truth-bomb Nareva dropped on us in the Convocation of Mirrors was quite eye-opening, and the whole event was a sensational display of penmanship, quite stimulating really on a level 'm not used to expecting from a porn game, though as deeply immersed in the Kitsune Haus as I am perhaps I should have.

Still, I've a question for @The Observer if I may... moreso to be clear on it for the roleplay experience than anything else. While everything I read is still quite fresh in my mind, and isn't likely to fade anytime soon. The Champion's recollection of the whole debacle is... fuzzy at best yes? At least such was the impression I got from Nareva's words, implying she'd obfuscate the truth from their memory when they leave the Dream.

The Champion remembers everything, but can't get back to Nereva's realm without her permission, or share the big secret.

Keros also warns you about spilling the beans, but it's not a threat.

They consumed thousands of souls and became powerful enough to pose as gods. And now there's a newcomer with the ability to extract souls. <s>Surely it will end well if everyone knew that right?</s>

Why would she care? Its not her world, they aren't her gods.

Really? That seems odd, i took Keros mentioning the 7 being in a meeting to discuss the intruder was referring to Kas, if she isn't on their radar then... who the fuck is the intruder!? o_O

Sarcasm doesn't read well in text. :x

I can't help but ponder the ramifications of this information as I digest it. I had thought that "Selling your soul to one of the Seven" would involve consigning a pact with them to be sanctified (what with the perma-transformations and unique powers that this agreement is allegedly supposed entail.) as their chosen mortal champion, and earmarked for their little slice of the afterlife once you die, but now I'm not so sure... of course, it could still go that route. Nareva (I believe, or perhaps its my inherent optimism playing games with me) maintains that she shed her base needs as a Wraith when she evolved and grew a conscience, and near as I can tell Keros doesn't exactly hunger for souls either. :colbert:

Ah yes... another case of the Devils you Know and the Devil you Don't, I thought the Keros vs Taoth conflict had been scrapped for lack of impartial authors to write Taoth's side? If I recall correctly per the original draft he was supposed to appeal to the Champion when you reach Keros' shrine in FloofQuest/Kitsune Haus.

It's going ahead, but TObs just dropped the Taoth path because of the workload.

Taoth might still try to appeal to the Champion, but considering the chain of events that seem to lead up to it, it would be in character for the Champ to turn Taoth down.
