Retaining baldness

Shaving yourself bald at Ceria is easy enough to do, but how do I make that stick? Had hopes for Galomax but within 24h I'm growing hair on my non-mammalian Steele again.

There isn't some TF effect or save editor flag I'm missing to 'turn off' hair growth that's incredibly obvious and I just forgot about it is there?

I took a new character to Ceria, shaved bald and slept for a year. No hair growth. That suggests to me that you have an effect that is causing growth.

Do you have the 'Mane' Perk?

I do, and a quick check with disabling the perk confirms that it was what was causing hair growth. Would never have considered terran treats to as the in-universe answer!
Glad to finally have that mystery solved.
