The Velvet Orchid is an adults-only first-person romance visual novel centered on an exclusive venue that gradually becomes a second home to the protagonist.
What begins as a series of evenings at the Orchid slowly draws him closer to the women connected to it — its staff, residents, and guests.
Through repeated encounters, private conversations, chance meetings, and increasingly intimate moments, he begins forming individual relationships while discovering more of the Orchid beyond its public-facing side.
V0.1 is the first playable foundation of the larger project.

LONG-TERM DIRECTION
The project is being developed toward a character-focused dating sim within one shared world.
Player choices, timing, knowledge, relationship progress, and who the protagonist chooses to spend his time with are intended to increasingly affect which scenes, opportunities, relationships, and outcomes become available.
Some relationships may coexist, while others may eventually conflict or become mutually exclusive.
The broader direction retains a harem element, but the goal is for that kind of life at the Orchid to emerge through player decisions and relationship development rather than simply unlocking every character automatically.
