Remaking CoC1 to something like TiTs and CoC2?

Has there been any discussions as to remaking CoC1?
I ask because while CoC1 feels fine on its own for what it is and how it's only been 8 years, I think a modern version that's on par with the quality and production standards of TiTs and CoC2 would be cool.
Plus, it'd give some of the original writer a chance to show off how their writing has changed and improved since back then as well as give a chance to expanding on the original writing.

A CoC1 remaster rewritten in javascript like the other games would be kind of cool. It would probably be like an entirely new game though in terms of effort. That's a lot of work. Would be nice to be able to just walk straight to tel'adre though.

There've been some fan ports to Javascript, but there's neither interest nor capacity to do an actual remake.

That's unfortunate but understandable seeing as there's still two games in active development and it'd require literally creating a new game from the ground up. Still, would be cool to return to Mareth someday with a new pair of eyes.

Ruffle has come a long way in the intervening years. I have some more things to mess with and clean up, but this exists now. When I've finished cleaning it up, it'll be going on the play page.

An actual more elaborate re-write/re-imagining is probably not going to happen because ruffle gets the ol' girl working seemingly just fine almost like everything did in the past.

It's less the ability to experience the old game and more of wanting to see how the devs and writers of the original would approach trying to take their older game after having grown, changed, and gotten more tools at their disposal after all these years as well as see what the new team members would bring to the table. Kind of like how artists sometimes looks back on their older works and give another crack at it just to see how far they've come as like a side by side comparison.

That being said, if no one on the team is interested and unable to, I don't blame ya'll since it'd be a massive undertaking.
