Quick Old Etheryn Appreciation Thread

I get it - you probably don't want real world prejudice in your fantasy porn game. It makes sense on a lot of levels to have removed this from Etheryn's backstory. But nonetheless,

Etheryn's pre-patch character made a huge impact on my life. Essentially, she hatched me from my little egg. I saw in her a lot of things that reminded me of myself, and through her overcoming, with the champion's help, of the prejudice against her, I not only grew to love her and the champion, but I gained a new understanding of my own identity and goals for myself.
Once again, I get why it was removed. But I do feel that her character development was nerfed as a result, her backstory and things she had to go through were nerfed as a result, and the challenges she'd have to face ahead were nerfed as a result. I'm just thankful that I was playing CoC2 before her backstory and Hethia dialogue was changed.

I make this thread just to say, thank you, to the old Etheryn and Savin.

She was originally a prince that was forcibly feminized by her sister alongside the other abuse. So it wasn't exactly trans-flavored. (especially not when it was forced)
Which Hethia's parley stuff was basically reserves of that idea. Kinda glad tho that it was changed, even if it was her just being an asshole it left a bad taste in my (and probably others) mouth(s) for her to keep calling Ryn a Prince when she knows Ryn's a girl. Especially with how out of place it was with the other half-sexed boreal elf characters we have now.

But yeah, it's just old stuff.
