Questions about the undead

Okay we know that Tira hates the undead, but how are the undead made in Savarra? It is something that the Wraiths created or is just magic? I know there is a codex entry about spirits, but that still leaves questions unanswered. An undead is just a moving corpse or there is an spirit inside? Can they form on their own or do you need a necromancer? If you need a necromancer, what happens when the necromancer dies? How much corpse do you need? Are they intelligent?. So many questions.

Why Savin? Why must you hurt me? Why are we denied our glorious vampire waifus?
You have the next best thing already in the game:
A cumpire.
As for whether or not she'll be sexable in the future... :iiam:

A cumpire will have to do. But I'm still sad.

And I'm 95% sure she's going to sexable someday. Digging into the folders for CoC2 shows Carmen with a nude portrait. At least last I checked. It could've been future proofing but if the original plan involved marrying her, I'd assume sex is at least still on the table

Wait a second, if Atugia isn't an undead the what is she?
Dullahan.
Not quite an undead considering she never died, just had some magick runes drawn on her and her head can come off.
She doesn't ride horses, so she's not exactly related to the headless horseman.

I took a quick look at Irish folklore and didn't see anything about Dullahan's being undead. They're supposed to be the embodiment of a god, based on a pagan god that likes human sacrifice.

They're mythological creatures just like minotaurs, centaurs, and wyverns.
