Question about Root of Man (&Mandrake root)

The Wiki says that these two items together, will allow you to remove fur if your character has it.
I'm currently playing a Lupine and want to remove their fur, but I just get a "nothing happens" if I use MR-infused Root of Man more than once (first one just gives me pale skin).

Mind you I'm playing on the public version, not the Backers. Does that make a difference?

Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong, or if there's some bug at play? Alternatively, other ways to get rid of fur?

You should only need to use MR-infused Root of Man once to lose your body fur; further uses not doing anything is not surprising. Also note that your arms and legs will retain their fur since they're still Lupine limbs and thus have the 'furred' flag. Have you checked your appearance screen to see if you still have body fur?

I was under the impression "removing fur" would remove, well, all fur on the body. I read the first transformation bit as just changing the skin underneath the fur, not removing it. Could have probably worded the sequence a bit better, explaining how the fur on the torso was lost.

Eitherway, thanks for the input. Managed to get normal humanoid arms and such.

You're welcome.
