So, I actually took the time to read the wall of text when you are about to become a kitsune, and it says you are dead inside, I knew that, but, it elaborated that kitsune have "no empathy, or nobility" and heres my question, Can They Feel Love? not just romantic, platonic, familial, any kind of it, does kiyoko actually love her kits and people? does tetsuya? did Komari actually love her husband, do Miko and Mai actually love each others as sister, or are they incapable? because you can't really love without empathy and all the other fun sweet things a soul gives you, I always knew they are glorified demons really, because both operate from the concept of having no soul, but one is 'corrupt' and the other is 'pure'

I am positive they love (I am not a definitive source). It's very hard to fake every interaction and reaction and statement. They all share a communal soul, so it's not like they're soulless in entirety, they're all linked at least philosophically (if not spiritually) through that. They all share the same senses and feelings and can understand each others' feelings, it's not like you or I as humans (presumably one of us is).

Personally, I think that the whole "communal soul/dead inside" thing is no-where near as drastic as that; it's more like... well, if a soul is analogous to a piece of software, most people would have theirs installed locally, while kitsune would have theirs accessible via the cloud - so long as that cloud connection is maintained (which is the whole chi thing for kitsune), there's really no difference between the two. Since that metaphor requires knowledge of the internet to be understandable, it's entirely reasonable for people in-universe to be incapable of considering that possibility, thus not know that that's the case and thinking it matters a lot more than it really does.

Well, as you might've figured out from Ace's comment, it's Keros; of course there's the possibility he's not telling the whole truth. Or maybe he, like everyone else, can't think up something akin to the aforementioned metaphor/analogy - or if he can, he might not know how to explain it in a way Champ can understand, and instead went for a simpler (if less accurate) explanation. There's also the fact that he's not the original Keros, so he might not even properly know how it works in the first place, and his explanation is just his best guess.
