(Pre-Alpha) Calamity 2020 - Apocalyptic RPG

Hello. For some reason I've decided to make a porn RPG, and it's the first porn related thing I've created. It's set in a world where an apocalyptic event is occurring. It features a real time - text based battle system, an in-depth inventory system, and a flexible battle-actions system, which can make battles interesting. I just wanted to show you guys my progress so far, I've implemented the main framework of the game and a small amount of content is currently in the game. Much more content will be added shortly.


You play the role of a survivor, who must scavenge for food and supplies, whilst avoiding encounters that could get you beaten, raped, or worse. Some data is synced over a server in this game, meaning you can drop items you don't need to help other players, or lay down traps for them, to make their experience just that little bit more miserable. I also plan for players to be able to leave notes and have some influence over in-game events.

I've uploaded a slightly updated version which might fix the issue. Otherwise try these if you haven't.


- Make sure it's decompressed into one folder (7zip and winzip let you run files without decompressing the archive first, don't do that.)


- Run as admin


- Check user privileges (right click - propreties - security - edit > Make sure you have all permissions set to enabled)


- If you have an antivirus, that could block it

Definitely caught my attention. I find the lack of decent m/m content in games depressing (especially when what little we get usually had forced m2f transformation afterwards.


I'll keep an eye on this.

I *loathe* forced m2f transformation type games.  I find it even more hateful when they start with 'choose your gender' followed immediately by 'haha, doesn't matter, you're female regardless'

I haven't had a lot of time to work on this due to real life stuff, but I've still added some pretty cool features.

• Graphics - added image effects, better lighting and more.
  
• Combat System - added conditionals to attacks, this means enemies have more attacks.
  
• Saving and loading - Those yellow things save your game when you go near them, your game is automatically loaded at start for now unless you delete the saves folder.
  
• Data server - This is the one i'm most excited about, I've added elements of multiplayer to the game, not like actual multiplayer, but for example when you drop an item another player might find the item you dropped in their play-through. Although not implemented yet I'd like to add traps to the game as well, so you can be an evil player as well. This system is expandable, and in the future I could add global events to the game and stuff.
  
• Bug fixes and optimizations.
  
• Probably other minor features that I forgot about.
  

Not fully implemented yet, but players can have a vagina. So you can be female in probably the next update, and i'll probably add support for herm in some way as well. I still need to add tons of actual content to the game, but these things refine the framework of the game, and it'll be useful later in development.


At the moment the data server loading causes some lag spikes when you first load the game. Also, the data server is a test, so expect lots of items to be scattered everywhere for a little while (the item cap is 200).

Some m/m content added with this update. You shouldn't be walled off, pick up the key with your cursor.


Just added an update (actually added it yesterday, but changed and added a bunch of stuff today):

• Added profiles system, where instead of having 1 save slot you can have as many as you want. You can now create a character as male, female, or both. Now has a little bit of m/m, f/m, f/f, Herm/m and Herm/F content.
  
• Added male variant of the rat slaver enemy.
  
• Expanded the first (and currently only) dungeon, its now double sized. You can unlock the front door now but there is nothing outside at the moment.
  
• Added a boss to the end of the first dungeon, it's not very unique at the moment, still developing the boss.
  
• Added flicker to fire based lighting.
  
• Added some sounds.
  
• Large performance improvements, and more quality settings.
  
• Improved most of the fighting text.
  
• You can now sprint.
  
• Messages now pop up when you go near a door or save the game.
  
• Fixed a save breaking bug and a bunch of other more minor bugs.

It's going quite slow at the moment, but I have rewritten some parts of the game. Soon some real life stuff will get solved and development should return to it's normal, faster state.

I've deleted the project from my hard-drive, unfortunately, or at least, I can't find it anymore. I don't have much free time but I've just thought up another idea for a newer, far better project. Problem with this game is that I just wasn't good at coding during the time I made this, and I've learnt so much since. If I can manage, I'll be making the new project, similar to this but far more expandable and with modding support.
