You can give yourself some of the traits that a dzaan has, but i don't think the game will ever call you a dzaan.
Maybe you can change the race descriptor in the game files? I think i remember reading somewhere in the forums that some people changed some text in the game files to give their Steele Heterochromia

From the title of your post/thread it just seemed to me like you were trying to do it in the save editor, and not the game files.
You'd have to download the GitHub code, make your changes and compile it. And do this every time another Public patch came out.
You want to start looking in
classes/Creature.as
That has the racial lists. Search for *Race*score for the code.

Dzaan now have a racial score entry. Coming soon to a Backers Patch near you. Some restrictions may apply. Consult your doctor before becoming a Dzaan.
You'll probably have to wait for the Save Editor to update, as I don't think it's possible to get the parts right now.
