Other lands in Savarra, and other dimensions?

Just wondering if there are currently any plans to allow players to see other parts of Savarra beyond the Frost Marches.

1. For example, we have Jassira south-east and across the sea, the Belharran heartland directly south of the Marches, Tychris, the salamander city, is "maybe 30 miles or so to the southwest", and Tronarii is on a peninsula on the same continent as Jassira. It would be cool if CoC2 develops enough for it to make sense to be able to go to such places.

On a much wider-reaching scale:

"Savarra, our setting, is connected through the multiverse to other worlds -- alien places and times. Unlike Mareth, Savarra is not a pocket world, disconnected from all others: it is possible for characters and creatures to come and go between it and other planes, though this is still a rare occurrence."

2. Any chance we may be introduced to characters from other worlds in the multiverse (aside from Mareth), or even travel to other worlds/dimensions? Given Savin is involved, I'm guessing we'll at least learn more about Tychris at some point!

3. Is it decided whether this multiverse is an infinite one (with every possible universe a part of it) or not (finite multiverse)?

4. Would I be right in assuming that the worlds of TiTs and FoE might be connected, even if they will never overtly crossover in-game?

5. Is it possible to write-in characters from Mareth, or even other worlds, provided they fit the tone of CoC2?

Just thought the answers and discussion to this might be interesting, especially for potential writers!

1. There are plans to go to Tychris. Nowhere else outside the Marches at present, but you never know.

2. Possible. You'll certainly learn more about Mareth at any rate.

3 & 4. Finite. Earth, Eden, and Tainted Space are not part of this multiverse.

5. Not unless the character's name is Kasyrra or Taoth.

On an aside, on points two and five:

I really don't like "fell through a portal" or "traveller from another world" characters in large part because they're often fresh arrivals and don't have connections to the people and world about them. Like it or not, established relationships with other people and backgrounds that are relevant really make it much easier to write for and about them when they have things anchoring them to their setting. You'll note that in Kasyrra's example, she comes prepackaged with a number of relationships with the PC, MAster Tollus, and the demon cult. More often than not, though, such characters don't really have any except the PC, and it leads to them having limited interaction with the world about them which is something we really don't want in the game -- I.E, bubble people. It's much better to anchor people into the world and make them a product of this place and all that it entails instead of warping people in from across the multiverse.

It makes more sense in an Isekai or somesuch where a complete idiot to the setting needs to have things explained to him and hence the reader sees things through his eyes, but the lack of hooks can make it frustrating for a secondary character who can soon become little more than a PC/MC orbiter.

I could see a few extraplanar adventures here and there but I don't see CoC2 becoming Planescape: Cock and Ball Torment any time soon.
