EDIT 4/29/17 - Alright, well, after some peer review by the illustrious developers of this magnificent franchise, I realized I had hit a snag in my project: Continuity error detected, awaiting repair action. Most of the existing and proposed project will remain, I just need to reconfigure the order of operations.

Yeah, so, I will keep ya'll posted when that's all done. Anyway, below is the original post, minus a few bits of no longer relevant information. I will leave link's to the original [REDACTED] until I have new ones.
______________________

Hello again, Tyranical here. So since my last (and first) idea post was a flop (it was a rambly induced mental vomitus) and I'm no good at original ideas, I made this!

Main Subject - Ivo Nikrotob's Mad Machine - Last Update: 4/13/17

[REDACTED] File corruption detected. Pending data recovery.

Feel free to leave comments, criticisms, and suggestions below, and I will see ya'll later when I have more.

Why is Sera's party required? I only did a quick scan, but I can't find any references towards either her, the party or the player being a dedicated sub.

Ivo mentions Steele's "advancements within the, um, transformative community". This is a reference to the PC helping Sera expand her business, as a part of boosting your score at the party is talking about new bodies types based on some of the aliens you've met on M'henga, Tarkus, and Myrellion. It's subtle, but it is accurate to that quest line, as all of the major players at that party are modding specialists. The "transformative community" bit is something of Ivo's technical jargon, think 'politically correct'.

Also, since this is supposed to be end-game (level 10), it's likely there will be more content with Sera and the modding business in the future. I leave things a bit vague for that reason.

So, you are locking this off to everyone who is not Sera's sub... (Well that locks me off)

Ok
True, though as of yet I don't see any plausible way to tie it into the story beyond that. Technically, you can be sub up to the party, then turn the tables on her after that, though I don't know if you make a salary off her opening a store on your ship. (Spoilers, I guess?) If some other tendril of injection comes up, we'll add it as an alternative path. Again, this is a level 10 thing, and we can't even get to level 9 yet, so it will be a while before it's made available, if ever. (Developers choice.)

It's the idea this game deserves but not the idea it needs right now.

Basically, catering to a market that can't physically exist yet.

Also true. Better to get in early to test the waters and refine it than wait I think. Maybe it will eventually become a stationary lab? Part of some special project (Black Void / Chow's gang / something else) and end up having other content involved with it as well, though the main portion may be reduced as a result.

I strongly dislike the idea of forcing anyone who wants to dom Sera to take a very specific path to that, through content they dislike, to unlock highly demanded content that would otherwise only be available to subs. Anyone who is unaware of that specific path would be left out in the cold.

The ability to create an on-demand Steele is well worth making a standalone meeting of important TF people.

Fair enough. Alabaster and SoAndSo's comments have brought up some very good points, all of which I had not considered when initially writing it. I tend to try all the things, and don't really go for purist type routes except for experimentation, so that hadn't crossed my mind.

This however brings me to the new idea: I will begin working on (at least for now) 3 possible paths to unlock this (again, presuming it ever gets in). These paths will start earlier in the PC's story cycle, and will be designed to play along with the overall storyline. I will add more to this in an edit of the original post. Thank you Lancer for your response.

Does you said that PC can be sub to Sera than turn her into slave? No that is no longer possible apth. You either been sub to her or have her as sub. So party happening only for sub PC not sub Sera thus it will cut all who went for sub Sera.

Good it will be some other patth to unlock it. Plus as you said "modding community" then by the time we got to lvl cap of 10 we may have more than only Sera as npc form modding comunity that we can interact with. But this is unclear and most of us can't predict when and who this npc(s) will be.

That's not true, you can in-fact be Sera's sub up to the point of going to the party, and do so poorly at the party or make her spend so much money within a week afterwards that she is forced to sell her contract.

Yeah we could but it will be not so obvious about it...plus that still going for dom sera then switching to sub sera if Party event went wrong. Tose that will go right away for sub Sera will be still out of luck.

You could always use the McAllistor, Haswell, or Lessau quests instead. All three are TF related and seem more related to the doctor's work than the mercantile side of things.

That's true. I never interact with them much so it never came to mind, but that would certainly be a suitable alternative for the "No Sera" peeps.

Helping McAllistor create the red and orange myrmidon mods is also a thing that's already in the game, if you want a basis for introduction.

To anyone reading this, most of the points made in the previous comments have been taken into consideration and much of the ideas in question have been removed from the original project. See top of thread for current news.
