Is there a way to play older versions of the game?

Backers have access to the last five builds. If you are looking for a more specific patch you just have to ask and hope somebody has it lying around.

Ideally, I would love a download of the version right before Berywn was removed as a companion, because he had some fun loss scenes

I believe you're looking for anything older than 0.5.7. Honestly, your best bet is probably a pirate site like F95 and hoping that the old links haven't expired. Unless of course somebody has it just lying around.
