Old one awakes (In game)

Topaz is working the shop when he arrives doing some repairs to a longsword at the current moment, she smiles when she sees Rick "Hey Rick. What can I do you for? Need a new sword or some repairs?"

Nyarlathotep wakes up and then looks around before licking on Grin foot, she massages and licks being gentle while working around the dragoness feet. The jabberwocky keeps working, she then looks up her purple eyes looking to her waiting for her to respond, she then nods and starts making it more pleasurable by licking every claw and working around with the tip of her tongue.
"Hey there, gorgeous." Rick flashes hers a smile. "I actually could use a new sword. This one has treated me well for a while now," he gestures to the greatsword on his back. "but I'm looking to start using something a little lighter. I want sonething I could use in one hand if I need too. You think you could help me out?"

"Sure thing! Greatswords are normally two handed weapons...you might be in the field for a long sword or a bastard sword since they are both made to be used with either two hands or one." Topaz walks him over to a few swords, pulling out a longsword "The handle is big enough for two hands but the weight of a longsword is not too much for somebody to wield with one hand. and a bastard sword is made for the purpose of two or one hand wielding."
Rick politely takes the longsword from her hands and gives it a few slow swings to get a feel for it. Satisfied, he hands it back to her. "This is definitely what I'm looking for. I'd like to buy one of these. Would you be willing to buy my greatsword? I can't think of a reason to keep carrying it around and I don't need to extra weight."
Topaz takes his greatsword and takes a good look at it "Well...depending on how good of a shape this is in I might be willing to purchase this, of course you'll still need to pay for the longsword..."
Rick's greatsword is in fairly good condition for how long it's implied that he's used it. The blade has gotten a rather dull, but it lacks any significant damage. The leather covering the grip is worn and would need replacing.
"Of course. I wouldn't expect to get out of paying for it. So how much do a owe you?"

"Hmmm...its not in bad condition, needs a bit of work to be resharpened...the leather around the grip needs replacing...and adding in the price of the longsword. You'd owe me about 5 gold total."
Soleil makes it to the spotshe designated to meet Rick. Seeing as he nots there yet and she forgot to specify any particular time to meet Solel decides to make the most of it. She finds a patch of soft soil and digs her roots in, rrlaxing a bit before the journey gets stressful.
Topaz thinks for a moment "Hmmm...there may be a magicial shop in town, but I won't know about it...you should check in the marketplace"
"Thanks. I'll go look around." Rick turns to leave but stops suddenly, the smile gone from his face. "By the way, I should warn you. Apparently this town is going to "get washed away" in several hours. I think the magical item I found has something to do with it. That's why I need a magic specialist. After I figure out what this thing is, I'm leaving town. With what happened yesterday combined with this new problem, I recommend you do the same. Someone has it out for this town."
Topaz looks extremely nervous at that "Hey...Rick? If thats true and all...would you mind coming and getting me when that happens if it does? Maybe you could help me get to the next town? I'm not really a mercenary...and I'd love to believe you but...I can't just up and leave everytime something is about to occur and nothing too bad happens, I'd lose my job. Plus I'm not really a fighter, I may be strong but...I've only really had one real fight in my life and that was yesterday"
Rick just stares at her for a second, then sighs and tries to put on his most reassuring smile. "How can I say no?"
"Tell you what, I'm going to go find a magic specialist to help me figure out what this thing is. After I do, I'll come back here to either tell you that everything is fine or that you need to come with me. Deal?"

Topaz smiles at that, nodding "That sounds like a deal to me. I do hope everything is fine, this is a good town afterall. I'll see you in a bit than alright?"
She takes a look at it, turns it over a few time. She cast a few spells, bites her lips and makes a beckoning gesture with her hands. Some books float to her and she flips through the pages and looks between the orb and the books.
"Well I can't tell you what it is per-say, mostly since I have no records on this, but I can tell you that it will explode in just under thirteen hours and that the effects will be felt by everything in a one mile radius...I'd get rid of it if I were you and fast."

Rick's eyes go wide at that news. "Well........fuck." He takes the orb back from her and walks out of the shop with a mumbled "thanks".
He stares at the orb in his hand for a few moments, trying to figure out some kind of solution. He perks up when he thinks of one and runs back to the docks.
Once there, he finds the nearest boat owner he can and asks "How would you like to make an easy 10 gold?"

"All I need you to do is take your boat two miles off shore and throw this-" Rick takes the pouch containing the orb off his belt and holds it up. "-into the ocean. Then you just need to come right back. And I need this done as soon as possible. Do we have a deal?"
