OC backstories

Ok so long story short Im trying to come up with a backstory and give a reason as to why my oc Xahlia looks the way she does (she's not a rahn...looks like one but she's still human at her core...i'd like to have a more unique reason than galomax) however i'm struggling to really think of anything right now so I just thought maybe seeing other people's backstories would jog my dumbass into being able to come up with something for her. That and I think it would be nice to have a backstory thread for characters people have created.

Isn't it already mentioned in the nanite's description that they can cause changes based on what the user consumes? So maybe your OC agreed to incubate rahn eggs (pay off a debt or whatever) and long-term exposure caused the nanites to transform her throughout the multiple incubation periods.
