My take on the surprise change because I can't read? All the stuff on the right got moved to the left. And I'm left-handed, I just got used to it - and now I'm finding all the weird glitches and bugs with the new look.
I know this isn't the place to report them, but...
If you type too fast when switching between the BBCode stuff like bold or italics, it bugs out and either yeets the code entirely or moves what you put in code to wherever your cursor is. Weirdshit.

Gotta agree with that. Very facebookey. It's happening on Reddit, it's happening here (to a thankfully far lesser extent- to my knowledge anyway).
Oh, also, I liked to look at that "x/y" forum post counter that used to be in the top right. It was just a neat little tracker of how far you are reading through the page.
It was nice but I can live without the scrolly thingy. I'm glad the avatars are the normal size. Still getting used to it and I assume the color change option may get re-added once the important stuff is done. You guys are working fast on the changes.
I'm actually very familiar with this forum layout (I've seen it in another forum I frequent) but... well I didn't expect it to happen here and I was so used to the old one I wiiiiiill admit I have a bias for that previous layout more.
I had to spend a couple of weeks tearing out weird features from the older version of XF we were using, and it'll be the same this time around too. I dunno how much of the stuff that's missing I can easily hack back in, but there's a bunch of stuff to tweak and streamline regardless.
Yeah, I'm just going "why"? I don't love or hate either version, but the old color scheme was slightly better IMO, and just in general I hate how they Internet is always forcing updates on everybody constantly for no reason.

Also gonna add here: thr blue really does hurt. And why blue? Why not purple or let us pick on our end? Does it specifically have to be blue? The bluelight filter does enough to me, I don't need everything to be blue like that one song...

Blue is an inferior color and only exists to create shades of purple. Red is the second best color period. Black is the best. Everything goes with black. Ford was ahead of his time.
Took me a bit to find where to mark individual board as read instead of the whole one too, first time I did the latter it threw off my routine somewhat.
I will say ONE good thing about the board layout however is that I can react more appropriately to folks comments instead of just simply "liking" them, now I can rofl stuff that's funny.

I personally heavily dislike this. Then again, I don't like change in general. And if change must happen... At the least try to make it as similar looking to it's previous version as possible.
Too dark, make the eyes hurt when shifting throught tabs. There is also a stupid blue and dark bar which is forever on top of the screen, this may be great for mobile user but on pc is fucking annoying and a waste of screen space, other than that is great
