NT Lore

Is there a lore reason why the New Texans are all seemingly (for game purposes) not fertile?  All I could find on the wiki and about 12-15 pages of the forums was about the treatment increasing fertility and libido, and yet Steele can't go there and get anyone/themself preggers.

It's quite possible I missed a thread about this or some wiki explanation, or that it's "in the works", or that "someone got pissed and left, so it is what it is", or whatever, but I just thought it strange that the most fertile planet is actually the least so.  Just curious, more than anything.

Well, for Ellie, her species is notoriously infertile.

For the rest, their authors either didn't want to or have not gotten around to writing pregnancy content.

But to answer your question, no, there isn't an overarching lore explanation.

Birth control in the water supply was the explanation i recall reading somewhere.

Yeah, I read the Ellie but, but wasn't sure about the rest.  Just searching places for something other than the "eggs and weeds" that seem to be what's available.  It seems to make the fertility/virility perks a bit unnecessary.

Join the ranks of the Grieving Pregnancy Lovers brigade, @Dark Ether. Things doesn't look good on that front, especially since the biggest stable author that had been actively pushing for pregnancy content recently quit smut writing.

That being said, in-universe explanation for the infertility of NT citizens makes so much sense that it probably would have been there regardless of authors' willingness to write preg content.

Well it's mainly along the lines of the fact none of the writers for NT care to write pregnancy content, JimT would have been your best bet, but as Nik said he's gone with the wind. So for the foreseeable future there are to be no pregnancies on NT, and if no one bothers to write it, there will never be any.

New Texas has birth control as its flouride because if it didn't, it would transform into New Shanghai in the course of about twenty years. So aside from Ellie, there is a canonical reason why you can't go around knocking everything/yourself up there.

Theme-wise yeah, it should have preg content somewhere. But nobody wants to write it, so bla.

I can't tell you how many times I've read an NPC assuring my PC that they won't get pregnant (even though said PC has literal god-like vertility). It was more amusing in CoC, though, where significantly more pregnancy content was actually written.

Anyway, my point is if someone wanted to write pregnancy content they could just handwave any contraception or infertility issues. There's just not a whole lot of it.

well sooner or later another writer will take up the reigns, someone who's here already or someone who's not new to the community. It's only a matter of time and only time will tell.

At this point, CoC will be done before more pregnancy content is added.

That's not how that works...

Maybe it'll mean people will stop waiting for CoC to be finished and focus their attention on TiTS.

Though there's a lot of factors that'll contribute to that not being the case, like the CoC mod, not liking space stuff, etc.

There are people still writing new content for CoC? I don't visit that section anymore so I hadn't noticed. I guess there's nothing wrong with fanfiction.

This is from Ellie:

“Nope,” Ellie says, her grin fading somewhat. “Believe me, plenty of bulls have tried. They always think they’re gonna be the one, but... no. It takes some serious science to get a half-leithan born, and a lot of credits. Around here, though, not being able to breed is... well, it could be better. A lotta bulls get tired of trying after a while. After all, what’s the point of fucking a mare full of cum ‘till she looks pregnant if it ain’t gonna do anything? Not that I don’t have a lot of fun in the trying, but I guess the boys are always gonna go back to the soft lil’ cows and fill ‘em with babies.”

It sounds to me like the birth control theories aren't supported by this.  Quite the opposite, in fact.  I also thought that in interactions between a female (treated?) Steele and Big T that there was some "breed me" comment in there.

Anyway, I'll just write it off to a lack of interest in the non-weeds/eggs content or whatever.

There is, in fact, birth control in the New Texan water. This is to keep the planet's population from exploding exponentially. However, the Treatment boosts fertility/virility so much that pregnancy happens on the regular anyway -- just not *quite* as often as it would otherwise.

Sounds about right to me. Pretty sure Yancy also mentions having to be on contraceptives since he works there. It's a good assumption the girls are too.

Though I wouldn't mind seeing preggo Millie or gravid Amma.

Yancy also tends to complain about New Texas films all being pornos/lacking depth. With that being said is there any chance at Steele staring in a NT film? Asking because if no one else is gonna write it, I might as well do something along those lines.

An NT film sounds neat. What kink genres would the film be targeted at? Heh or would it be Yancy's attempt at making a non porno with depth?  That would probably be amusing to watch regardless of whether he's successful at keeping his actors from fucking or not.

Well I had an idea for a "film" for New Texas which can either go 2 ways. It'd be about (gay) incest, and it could be played like a normal porno, just more taboo. Or it could be played with drama when both characters come to terms with what they've done, ending in a bitter ending where they both split ways, one moves off planet, the other sulks. Both parties blame themselves. The former would just be released on the extranet, while the latter would have a full screening on Big T's ranch, where Yancy would watch it and be impressed that it's not a total (quite literal) fuckfest.

I'd write this almost instantly, if it wasn't tied to my Busky Character shameless self plug and I'm still not sure if that's getting in or not. But even if it's not, I'll just re purpose the film stuff for other characters.

Ah well gay content isn't realy my cup of tea but regardless best of luck in getting your stuff into the game. I'm sure there will be those that appreciate it.

Sav-man was left with a bitter taste in his mouth from all the whining and demands he recieved last time he wrote pregnancy content.

Hence why most of all his characters since then have doubled down on insisting on either anal/non procreative sex, or condoms and contraceptives. Ellie is an exception but he baked strong contraception into her species. He may be open to someone else writting breaking through her wombs defences but I doubt he'd be keen on doing it himself.

We'll probably need either an author with a preg fetish or a preg fetishist with enough spare cash to blow on author commissions before we get bug pony babies most likely.
