Need help for the Siege of Khor'Minos dungeon

I've just started the newest main story dungeon and I'm already lost in some places. Like, what path is the best one - helping Varena or helping Calise.

Is there a strategy for the Mass Combat, how are you supposed to know what units are best against what?

If you have decided to help Calise for this dungeon,

when you choose to side with demon!Calise, is there supposed to be a way to defeat Kasyrra or is she meant to be unbeatable?

For the strategy, you mostly go on deduction, you read the text and try to deduce what the adversary's unit is in this round, it's basically rock, paper, scissors. If the text talk about fighting big armored unit, you pick the unit effective against heavy units, if they talk about fast units swarming you, you pick the one good against skirmishers, etc...

I don't think there is a "right" path here. It will come down to your roleplay mostly.

To note however is that going with Calise will have you do the mass battle segment which is skipped with Varena. Also, Calise will take on a tank role and Varena more of a damage role, if that's of any concern to your team setup.
(Damn you Calise and your aggro, let me steal their powers damnit)

As already mentioned in the reply above read the text and assume from there. Is it fast send the blue ones, is it magic send the red ones, is it massive send the green one.

As for that boss fight, I assume you shouldn't normally be able to, but if you do, there is only a congrats from the devs (at least it says so in the patch notes)
