Multiple Arms?

So one of the things I've wanted most ever since I first fought Dane was, you guessed it, multiple pairs of arms. However, before I begin writing, I wanted some sort of feedback on this idea, and anything you guys would like for me to add along with it?

Also, I was wondering what it would take to make at least one of the extra pairs usable in combat for extra weapons and such. Or would that just be a bit too much?

Is it *that* bad?
Imagine rewriting every scene in the game in which your arms are mentioned. It is *that* bad.

You would also be giving characters with four arms a direct combat buff, which would decrease the satisfaction players, who don't want their Steele to have four arms, get out of the game, or make four-armed Steeles very OP.

Yes. Because there's no way in hell the devs are gonna go back and try and account for it in literally EVERY SINGLE SCENE that mentions your arms.

Hi, Dantalion. Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately, multiple arms are something that has been asked for so many times by so many different people that the general forum reaction to the question is a little short and irritated at this point. It's one of a few questions that are repeated again and again by new users or old users that are out of the loop, and the answer always winds up being the same, so people can get a little frustrated with it. I hope you don't take it personally.

It is confirmed, however, that multiple arms are not going to happen due to the considerations it would require and the amount of rewriting it would entail. Sorry about that.
How much rewriting are we talking here? I have a bit of free time, and since so many others seem to want it as well, I would be perfectly willing to help out.

It's less about the immediate raw effort and more about the ripple effect such a thing would have for both past, present, and future writing. TiTS is already critically overloaded with a lot of appearance features, aesthetic customization, and player character traits that go almost completely unsupported by authors, and adding another one, let alone such major one in the form of multiple arms (because it would be quite major), would be like tossing more fuel onto a fire that's already burned down an entire city. :p

We can barely get meaningful support for multiple legs in the form of taurs (barring Wsan, who couldn't stop the madness even if he wanted to), which are much less complicated than arms would be... >_>

Ah, so I see, thank you for the explanation. (Cries softly into single pair of hands)

S'all good dude. There's a lot of things you can write that aren't multiple arms. Hell, you could write an NPC with multiple arms if that's your type.

Although, I should recommend not writing an entire NPC as your first project.

That wouldn't be the best to start with, I agree.

NPCs aren't really too bad, just don't set out for a follower-tier one. At the simplest level a character can clock in around 5k words, that being some chat and two or three sex scenes.

Good start would be some scene like...umm new dream scene for PC to get or 1-2 new sex scenes to existing npc for new things. There is still many places for npc that could have some new scene that wasn't written cuz orginal author not had so much spare time to do it (and in most cases their leaving some type of scenes for their npc due to not been into specific type of content).

5k words for an NPC including chat and sex scenes is a tight fit, no?

If you want to write something the best thing to write would be ether a TF,weapon, armour or clothing instead of a NPC so that you can get an idea of what people like

It's more so that you can get an idea of how writing with TiTS' code and parsers works. Improving your writing is part of that, but not directly tied to being popular.

I know, it took Hugs 7k words. What a scrub.

Hahaha, what kind of dumb nerd would do something that dumb? That's almost as dumb as writing a building filled with multiple NPCs as your first real project. :negativeman:

Ha, yeah, what kind of idiot would want to do that for his first project.

Well and if Hugs culd be sad about those 7k scenes I think Savin or Fen could pull any of theri longer scenes to beat even this "merely" 7k words.

And no I not fully agree on opinion about to "Just write what you want.". What if person actualy wanted write full developed planet with few npc's, storyline and etc.? That still fall under things new person shouldn't try do. :allears:

So I hope some of us will not mislead possible new writer (whch may stay forever minor one without huge backlog of commision or grow up like Hugs) into thinking that the sky is the limit. At least not for a first few writings.

Someone should add "No, you will never get four arms in this game, please stop asking" to the FAQ. Then people can be forewarned that they will never be four-armed.

Considering that the author of Sera's enslavement route made a FAQ for that and people still made threads asking the same questions about the route, I don't think an FAQ would do much.

Well since this topic is up I'll use this opportunity to say this:
Imagine rewriting every scene in the game in which your arms are mentioned. It is *that* bad.
Even if they did get put in, I HIGHLY doubt that rewriting every scene would even be necessary considering that the vast vast majority of scenes don't even bother to describe your arms, not even sex scenes, they just say, "Your arms" or "Your hands" and that's it.

The only time that your arms would really get described is masturbation scenes, combat scenes, and appearance. The only real argument that I can see against Four arms is that they could make the PC OP in combat but even then I feel that Fen & co could balance them. Like you could use all at once but only if you have single-handed weapons no exceptions, if you want to use big/heavy weapons at once it should cost energy and have a reduced chance of hitting. Just spitballing here.

That's just what I think could happen if Co ever decides to change their stance on it. (Won't hold my breath at all for it, though)

TFs are not going to have an effect in combat. This has been made abundantly clear multiple times.

It's not so much that as people complaining: "Why can't my PC just use their four arms in this scene", and new scenes would have to written to account for four arms.

Also what Klap said, TFs aren't going to affect combat in anyway like they did in CoC, because that means sacrificing your perfect space-waifu for more combat effectiveness.
