I'm calling game mechanics on the myr rifle. Also the people you listed as actual threats are people using equal or better tech to yours, are older/more experienced than you, are simply biologically superior to your ass, and/or are on their home turf.
I can say the same for any battle in CoC then. Any hard fight in CoC can be put down to one of the thing you said. The only reason the sandtrap is a threat is because the desert is its home turf. Mountain goblin is hard because she is something like 100 years old and a very adapt mage. The Minotaur is only threatening cause it is biologically stronger and larger than you. The Harpy Queen is home turf and a much better spell caster than you.

You see where this is going even then it doesn't change the fact that in the second area you get access to The Lake allows you to find the the strongest standalone weapon in the game. Also their is a random traveler that sells potions that magically make you smarter or another that makes you both stronger and more durable. To my knowledge the only truly hard fight is against the corrupted goddess tree which you have to go out of your way to fight.

I was talking about the majority of fights that one gets into anyways, not about the boss fights. Which is Steele using laser guns on rando natives that just figured out automatic weapons and the champion using swords against other folk roughly equally as armred.

And the Champion uses a divine holy sword, a rapier that pieces any defense or a eldritch staff passed down for thousands of years. Whats your point most of the enemies you fight in CoC don't even use swords most use their fists. The once that actually use weapons or magic tend to be the treats.

Also Bows are consistently roughly equal to guns in every single stage of the game rarely the best but always good. Then Korg can make a melee weapon that can match thermal scalpels and plasma axes. And a rocket hammer also isn't as strong as a weapon made by spider people thousands of year ago and is 1 point stronger than ones just given to random mooks same for the nyrea plus the zil make a weapon much stronger than said ROCKET POWERED HAMMER. You can say game mechanic all you want doesn't change the fact that civilian grade weapons in TiTs tend to be of roughly the same power as most conventional weapons. Again the only advantage Steele has is they have shields while most enemies don't. But the Champion has 2 perks plus a suit of armour that regens their health every turn making them basically unkillable.

Forget just corrupting Jojo, though. The mark of a real monster is corrupting the Kangaroo girl AND Jojo, and then putting them together.

Zeik always has produced the rawest shit in either game. I always feel he goes slightly too far with it.

So thats who wrote all that stuff! Is he still around? You think he'll throw his hat in the ring with CoC2?

He's been quiet recently but I wouldn't bet against it.

Didn't most of humanity come to the conclusion that "yeah slavery is pretty bad, dude" a while ago?
You'd be surprised. Not going into details, but some people didn't get the message. Mostly the people who profit from it.

I'll be honest, I had no idea you could get her as a slave. But now that I know that she can literally put herself into severe debt by buying your crap, that's literally her choosing to put herself into that position.

It's well within reason that you can, In Character at least accidentally put her into debt and then take her on as a slave out of a sense of responsibility since it kind of was your fault that she fucked herself over, but it was ultimately her choice to buy the random crap you had on hand. All she had to do was not accept people selling stuff to her and she would have been fine.

There are many different types of slavery. Chattel is the kind best known to American because we practiced it and took our sweet time ending and then assuming was the only kind of slavery. This leading to stuff like @Klaptrap mentioned.

For sex slavery, maybe, but only if it happens to a pretty white girl. Wage slavery and prison slavery aren't even on the radar for most people.

Depends in which country it happens. Most 1st world countries... actually I think all 1st world countries blatantly outlaw any type of slavery. I don't know if we can consider China a 1st world country, they seem more like a 2nd world country on the cusp of becoming a 1st world.
