The vast expanse pf space, who knew it could get so dull? All those stars and planets out there and nothing has happened for weeks! well nothing that wasn't annoying maintenance or getting those damn rats out of the ducts in the bio dome. All of this ran through Jess the engineers head as she tightened the bolt on the air regulator she was fixing up. "They really should just replace this.... i can only fix it so much before it just breaks completely down." sighed the fit bodied engie. she adjusted the collar of her suit. "Also... did they have to design these suits to be so tight and.... form fitting.....", she thought as she blushed. often she would get hit on by the guards and pathfinders, always looking at her butt when she wore the almost skin tight, dark blue engineering suit. it was fire proof and all that yeah.... but she had a feeling that the guy who made it was maybe a bit of a pervert.... Eventually she was done fixing the pipes again. she then made her way to the upper deck of her home ship, the New Luna.
in her time humans have began to explore the stars looking for new worlds and and to find out if we really were alone in this big universe. currently human could only find rocky worlds with no life on them but they were still suitable enough to build colonies and ports to go even further in space. Thanks to someone finally figuring out how to make stable wormholes that don't collapse instantly and don't cost ludicrous amounts of energy to open. with that people could be free from earth and make their way in the stars. Jess's ship was tasked with the search for alien life, and her job? Keep everything from falling apart. She thought about all of this as she sat in the blue tinted lobby and had herself a cup of chi tea. "Hey Jess done working down below i have something below deck you can work on if you know what i mean~.", came the voice of one of the crewmen with a cheeky grin. "Please go away.....", she said softly and full of exasperation. then the other guys chuckled as looked on all staring at you guessed it, her tightly suit wrapped butt. "what are you guys 13?! Grow up!", She said turning away angrily. the red haired green eyes girl some times wondered if her looks where a curse and the suit never helped.
"All hands new signature detected. Unidentified object incoming." came a voice over the intercom. "What?", she said her line of thought interrupted. She got up to look at the big screen in the break room as it showed what the scans where picking up. the image showed a strangely shaped object gliding through space. "Wait..... that doesn't look like a meteor or a comet.", Jess said aloud. it was too sleek and too slender. And it certainly wasn't an human ship... they, like her ship were stocky and angular. "No way..... did we actually find... life?!", Jess thought aloud. "All hands at the ready, contact has not been established.", came the intercom again. There was no way that was anything else but a ship and it... was heading right for them... and it was speeding up. She should have felt thrilled but in truth she was terrified somewhere inside her to her that this was not good. That ship looked very big and theirs? quite small... only with a crew of a few hundred. Just then she saw smaller objects coming off of the large ship. "Small objects appear to be heading towards the ship everyone brace for impact, starting evasive maneuvers!", shouted the voice over the intercom and every scattered in the break room.
