Why would they even be affected? Were you expecting blurbs for every scene? The only thing that really happens is you lose the effect upon pregnancy and...well I'm not sure how you lose rut. Not even any blurbs of satisfaction.

That time Fen made a single special heat/rut scenes for Urta was a big deal. None since then. Would love some special scenes, myself, though.

Heat is lost when all vaginal wombs are impregnated. Rut is lost when impregnating/inseminating/fertilizing an NPC's womb (only a few are eligible though, like: Raskvel Female, Irellia, Briha) or undergoing some kind of rut-lust sex scene (like with Sylvie). The hallucination scenes from the Laquine Ears also remove heat/rut. And V-Ko's "stress relief" procedure can also relieve any heat/rut statuses.

True. On the other hand, it's not like the game has an abundance of NPC that can cause a vaginal pregnancy, either. Only Renvra, Sera, male milodians, and male sydians are available, and in the latter two cases there is a serious random factor for meeting the right critter and conception. We need more options to fill up the nursery!! Of course there are also a few (vaginal) egg-incubation options (Ara Key, bothrioc PDM, nyrean huntress, the QotD) for that, but I dunno yet if they qualify for heat-ending purposes.

I'm not considering offspring options of no or questionable sapience, since they don't really qualify as 'children' or 'people' in my eyes. So I always make the PC abandon them in the wild rather than sending them to the nursery if such bothersome impregnations/incubations occur (I might reconsider my stance on Venus pitchers if someone ever writes some appropriate scene to make them look sapient, such as having a conversation with Steele).

Have you ever met an elder pitcher? They certainly have a conversation with Steele. Not only that, but it's a conversation that can hypnotize Steele (although their words do have a little help with from their hips). Their status as sapient beings is not in question.

Not sure if I ever met an elder vp, it's been a good while since I explored the part of the jungle where vp dwell, but after looking at their entry in the wiki, I suppose you have a point. Do 'ordinary' vp automatically mature into elders with age if they live long enough, or are they separate subspecies? If the former, I may certainly consider this a case of prolonged infancy by human standards (a reverse case of the QotD species), and so revise my policy to send any vp offspring that may occur in the future to the nursery.

Incubation-type pregnancies also fill up the player character's womb, so they count as filling up the womb to end heat. As long as it is valid pregnancy data, the game will count it as a "pregnancy"--so having an NPC fill Steele with eggs/seeds/newborns should end the Heat status.

The Elder prefix is just a way to note that they are physically mature, and thus more dangerous. The "normal" pitchers and the "elders" are of the same species.

As the clincher, I just check the in-game codex entry for the pitchers, and it explicitly states, "Venus pitchers are sentient, though they tend towards laziness and make poor conversationalists."

Ok, I suppose I may consider adding a quest in Men'gha jungles to add a few cute plant-girls to the nursery in my to-do list if I'm not otherwise busy.

Yeah it's not RNG at all, you'll always find the Elder plants in the exact same spot every time. The only RNG is them popping up the first time the exact moment you reach that square and maybe passing over it a while after you encounter them afterwards.

Sometimes they're asleep, though.

True. You may notice on second thoughts I edited my own post on the issue. I was making a flawed analogy with cases such as the bothrioc, sydians, and milodians, where the RNG in getting the right kind of encounter and getting fertilized by them if pregnancy is your goal may become a significant pita. I got more than a little frustrated by wrong encounters when I was trying to maximize my PC's bothrioc addiction, or for that matter trying to befriend Lys and Briha enough to get their panties. I'm not a fan of quests that are critically reliant on random encounters.

Yeah when we encounter them whatever is the case they go to sleep for 1-3 days.

Also I not sure if it was merely one or two sentences diff. There was in one of blogs meantion of scene that was req. PC been in heat/rut that was commented to be unavialable due to lack of item to put PCin those statuses.

Now that the game supports heat/rut status effects I expect there will be more scenes being written for them in the future... maybe... we'll see. Writers around here tend to forget that this game has quite a lot of options, example being if your character has more than 1 dick most writers never seem to remember that, why not make use of multi-dicked characters?

It's less forgetting and moreso because doing multidick variations for almost everything is annoying and nobody wants to remember to write support for them constantly. Infact a fair amount of writers of TiTS I'm familiar with on Discord go RRREEEEEE whenever someone brings up support for shit like multidicks, taurs/nagas, bimbo/brute shit, etc.

In a perfect world, heat/rut, ditz speech, and multicocks would be supported in all scenes. Hell Taurs and hardlights too.

What about Naga, Driders and Goo? For our bad luck we not living in this Perfect World (International) :(

More of heat/rut scenes....maybe after Gedan deal with ship content since msot of the times heat/rut can lead to pregnancies that game still not supporting good enough to make authors write those too often.

In a perfect world, everyone would have every fetish and everyone would be super happy and everything would support everything and stuff! Yay!

True, but don't forget multipussies and tailcocks, too. As it concerns ditz/brute speech, it is is one of the aspects of the bimbo/stud archetype I tolerate the least, so if its support were more widespread I'd be even more tempted to prune it away with save editing. As things stand, I leave it be because I'm fearful of messing with the code's acknowledgement of the character's bimbo status in different ways.

As an aside, I went and tested the new heat system by giving Steele another double dozen Venus Pitcher, Bothrioc, and Sydian offspring (aren't multiwombs great?). Worked fine, I am definitely going to keep Steele on a steady regime of Breeder's Bliss from now on, at least until someone writes a system to induce a permanent heat cycle in the PC, on the model of Omega Fever and Oviposition. My apologies to Venus pitchers, I misremembered their scenes, their interactions with Steele definitely portrait them as sapient, elder and young alike. Good for them, I welcome a few little plant-girls in the nursery.

Pretty sure the game ties isBimbo to having Ditz Speech, so you'd lose out on a lot more than just the speech stuff if you wanted a bimbo but save edited the Ditz Speech perk out.

As I suspected. It means I'm going to leave the perk alone for the foreseeable future and try my best to ignore any instance of that kind of speech, especially when it really sounds inappropriate. I mean, I admit there are friendly talk or seduction scenes when it may read cute/sexy, but when the PC uses it to address enemies or people with very high social status, it so grates my nerves. It is not what I made my Steele a certified genius and unstoppable badass for.
