Now that Level 9 got unlocked at last, does it mean the final armor customization abilities to expose body parts of Nova got unlocked as well (i.e. they were already written and coded, but inaccessible b/c of the level 8 cap), or they are still to be written/coded?

Her exhibitionism upgrade is actually available at level 9, however the variations and scenes haven’t all been fully written out yet (I will continue to write it once I have time--hopefully before the next release), so those features will be disabled until they are ready.
It is not yet implemented since I haven't finished writing for it, but it would be any exposed set of armor/outfit (underwear won't count).
Good to hear. I'm not normally into goo-girls, but Nova really grew on me once I started talking to her and keeping her around. Looking forward to more, hope the writing goes well.
If I understand this right, it seems exhibitionist upper/lower undergarment would be useless to teach Nova this ability and you would need exposed armor or clothing, From a summary check of the wiki, I suppose this would mean the Revealing Armor or the Leather Harness (the ones that get an appropriate description). Am I right or would we need something else? I ask since I've long since found the combination of goo armor and exhibitionist/hardlight-equipped undergarment near-optimal (even more once we got items that combine the two functions) for my playstyle and cosmetic tastes, so I am unfamiliar with other kinds of exposed equipment.
Anyway, goodspeed with your writing and let's hope it gets finished soon. I'm eager to get some upgrades for Nova. By the way, IIRC Couch submitted some time ago an Uveto underwater lab quest that includes a protection upgrade for Nova. Let's hope that quest, too, gets coded soon.
It might require you to have exposed slots for the transformation(s) you want or it might just give you everything as long as you've got some sort of exposed armor. Regardless the easiest options for full exposure is the premium armstrong suit from the vendor NE of the elevator in gold bug land, the transparent zipsuit at the tailor also in gold bug land, or the collar that turns into a completely skintight suit that is currently at Sheska for the time being.
Any armor/outfit that has an exposed flag, so I think there are additional outfits than just those two (Armstrong Suit). In any case, I will see about expanding the check to account for underwear too (but only if Steele is wearing no armor). The clothing will have to be exposed, however--having transparent clothes wouldn't really count.
hood would go well with the clothes skin. Lot of things go well with hoods in terms of aesthetics as far as making shit airtight goes.
Though thinking about it makes me think of Alex mercer. a fair bit. That is if he killed a T-1000 and wore it.

I know you can upgrade Nova by letting her absorb crystals in the Myrellion caverns. I vaguely remember that there's another upgrade-place?
Yes. If you have Nova with you (equipped or in inventory) when you defeat the Crystal Goo Incubator during Queen Taivra's palace quest, she will get upgraded. That's how I did it, as a matter of fact.
That gives the mirrored upgrade which the Knights(silly mode) in Myrellion caverns(Outside Taivra's Palace) do too.
You probably thinking about yet not added/coded event in Uveto deep sea dungeon where Goo Armor can once again upgrade herself after beating I think final boss there. This one probably would make her add few shiled points and her weakness to one of type of dmg (electric I think) reduced. But all details and etc. for sure Couch remember better (he wrote this dungoen).
Sure, but I was asking since the author said he hoped/expected to have them ready for next update, like two or three updates ago, and the actual form-shifting code is already written. And it is my reasoned guess these scenes won't be very long or complex to begin with, probably brief pieces about Nova cheerfully acknowledging Steele has 'interesting' pieces of outfit to copy and swiftly learning to do so, if similar scenes for the other existing or upcoming upgrades are anything to go by.

One very minor thing I would like is the ability to dye/colour Nova when worn. I mean the material might always be silver-gray but she can form diffraction gratings and vantablack and so forth to give coloured clothing.
Actually, having Nova be able to turn different colors/shades would be pretty neat. I mean, it is pretty cool going around in a sleek silver bodysuit, but a little change would be nice.

I'm not sure about color changes since that would mess with a lot of places where "silver" and "gray" are mentioned. If it's for the suit, that may be possible, but there needs to be a reason why the character wants to learn it. I'm also iffy on adding transparent properties as well for the same reasons. I want to be careful not to jam in too many features for the item as it can get complex to sort through. But we'll see how it goes during development.
I wouldn't mind adding some more variations to her character though, like talking blurbs in special instances, Easter eggs, new sex scenes and such. So if anyone has ideas or writing for anything related to that, I can probably add them in.

Seriously, tho, I'm not one for goo girls, or waifus in general, but i'm grateful that you're at least considering expanding Nova. She's a wonderful character that TiTS just isn't complete without.
