Its been quite a while, and the combat patch was done, but there I cant level up to 7 yet still. Any word?

What was so bad about the combat initially that it necessitated a multi-year rework?

You have played the game before and after the middle of last year, right? Did you not notice when the Resolve bar vanished? Start with that, or this set of patch notes for a lot more detail. And this earlier one for some prior important changes. That should give you an idea how deep the Rebalancing Mines that Balak is toiling in are.

I'm aware of all the changes, and that doesn't really answer the question. The fact that all of that was changed and he's not even remotely close to being finished only deepens the mystery for me.
