Looking for a build that's focused on doing high amounts of physical damage, and tanky enough to deal with the threat caused by that, I'm assuming I want Str/Tough warrior, but not sure what powers or gear will work well with this

There's always a tradeoff with these things.

I'm assuming that you don't want the other party members to be tanks. You do need a shield which level 9 warrior will allow Carabot + Shield. Spiked Buckler is basically the best shield since it basically casts Rime Veil, but it's super late game.

Gloves of Giant Strength/Royal Gloves for Armor Pen.
Rime Veil Encounter power for damage or Rally Banner for survivability.
Frostwarden will spike threat and give a damage boost (Spirit Totem Arona will still peak higher)

I personally like to stack leadership for my tanks but that might not be what you want to go for.

Does rime veil not require investing in spellpower? And what weapon would you recommend before getting titan's grip?

It's better with spellpower but still really good even if dumped. You can still do Carabot. Dawnsword has the deflection power which is really good. Ashelander. The main thing is that crit isn't important, armor pen is, and it's better if the weapon isn't pure physical damage.

Oh so running shieldless till level 9 wont be a problem for durability? Great thanks for the help :)

Does the spiked shield only work if it eats a crit? I know that's how most shields powers work, but I can't see it on the wiki

There will still be some durability issues, but getting a good healer/some regen will work almost all the time.

Yes, but at that point it will trigger basically every turn. Keep in mind that it is a post act-2 shield.
