Is Kiyoko's content worth it if I won't like adult Kinu's?

I enjoyed Kiyoko's content quite a bit, having originally played it all up to releasing her from the amulet back before a lot of her content was finished, meaning I wasn't able to actually release her. I wanted to know if you all think it's worth to go through releasing her and such if I'm unlikely to enjoy Kinu's content, I am fairly sure I won't be enjoying almost anything relating to adult Kinu, the things I've heard about it puts me off a lot, I got the general impression that a lot of it was written from a place of general negativity, as well as making her a fairly standoffish character and sharing quite little with young Kinu. I also am also not very interested at all in playing her.

There's nothing forcing you to even interact with kinu if you don't want to post freedom. Bar the occasional forced one time scene with her, you'll never be forced to play with her out of the blue.

Don't listen to all the hate the kitsune get here in the forums. If you enjoyed the Kiyoko content earlier you'll still enjoy it after releasing her from the orb, especially because there are several random events that trigger outside between the Champ and Kiyoko.

Plus, in my own personal opinion, Hime Kinu isn't that bad to interact with. Kinu the character was written as a salt mine to make players angry because incest isn't allowed in the game but beyond that there isn't really anything overly negative about her interactions. Also as Shrike mentioned you can totally avoid Kinu once outside of the amulet so if she really does bug you for some reason you can just ignore her.

As an avid Kitsune enjoyer, Kinu represents 2 polar opposites when it comes to Kitsune culture. I'll share my personal understanding, so it might be wrong.

Hime embraces her legacy and her role, and aspires to be an inspiration for her people. She took her mother's lessons to heart, and seeing as Kiyoko has been sealed for 200+ years, Hime acts like a classical oriental princess. Her choice in spouse, Nakano, I believe also comes from those 200 years lost by Kiyoko. Nakano wants to be the quintessential Samurai, versed in sword and poetry, and Hime believes that to be a noble goal. Nakano being an asshole to us is irrelevant to their relationship, but people just love to hate him.

Inari, meanwhile, is of the opinion that traditional royalty behaviour is completely unnecessary for their current situation. People need food more than culture. Everything Kiyoko told her is disconnected from current times, and Kinu will rebel. Her choice in spouse, Hitoshi, represents the exact opposite of royalty life. Hitoshi is quiet, hard-working, and never shows false emotions to better connect with people.

Again, this is my personal understanding, so it may be inaccurate to the real thing. I believe Kinu's content to be well aligned with the choices made during her childhood. And if you found yourself leaning heavily to one side, you probably will enjoy the result. I recommend reading and understanding those choices, to better appreciate how they made Kinu who she is.

I don't like the Kitsune, not because they are written poorly, but because they are written well. Observer is exceptionally good at making characters who really know how to annoy me, largely because none of them want to interact with you and they're very open about that (even if they're usually polite about it.)
I think the Hime path is a very good representation of what it's like to a have a kid who is independent to the point of frustration. She's headstrong and driven, eager to do things on her own, and she doesn't really mind that you or your wife might object to it. That said, there's a certain satisfaction in watching her speedrun teenage rebellion while clapping my hands and yelling 'Go, Kinu, go.'

All in all, don't be wary of the new content. Enjoy it for what it is - a parental JohnTravoltaHoldingHisJacketLookingConfused gif, constantly blinking in surprise as these weird Japanese cat people act out their dollhouse drama while you occasionally interrupt to ask what the fuck a 'Torii' or 'Nodachi' is between bouts of enormously degenerate pornography (handholding and headpats.)

It is a shame we can't have Kiyoko without having Kinu. I understand your point as I feel the same, kid Kinu was adorable.. adult Kinu sucks.

Ok, that still doesn't make them cat people but fine I guess and the Kitsune aren't anthro's either. Their Kemonomimi's.
The joke is that "foxes have dog hardware that runs on cat software".

To be honest I kinda get it, because child kinu is probabbly the best and most fun written Be a dad/mom scenario we are given in the entire game, and then it's replaced this awkwardly hot college girl that we don't even know that well anymore for we missed out on her entire teens trying to rescue her. Oh and she finds a guy she wants to get hitched with in literally just a week, making it even more awkward from a dad perspective

(seriously if you wanted to ban all incest from the game why did you have to make her legit sexier than the mom?)

I knew kitsune grow faster but it would be nice if one of the final kitsune contents we get from the game would be like a teenage little brother or sister for Kinu who doesn't grow up, like legit dont even make that be a feature, just let us have a child with content similiar to Child Kinu, that would be awesome.

Unlikely to never happen since as I said Kinu is undebatebly the best writen be a dad content in the game, and even still is the best be a dad content in the game with her in her adult form. It would just be nice to have access to something simmiliar to her child form, so we can enjoy that cute young family vibes with kiyoko

Tbh I still have yet to find a game that lets you have sweet moments like this (and not in a tragic story setting). And I really like how neither blame you for not showing up for the past 10 or so years and understand that you are most likely sad about this.
There still are gaps such as if you talk about their fiancé they will get mad and cut the conversation short, but there are many more cute family moments.
This game made me develop a need for these moments and no other game has scratched this itch as of yet.
Tldr. It’s bittersweet to release them but keeping them locked in isn’t much better either and somewhat selfish in my opinion.

Have to disagree with this. I would say Freja is the best unique kid in the entire game. She has a lot of content compared to Kinus that repeats.
No I'd say they are about equal, Im pretty sure Kinu has more still.

I can take or leave Hime, but I actually like Inari Kinu. She skirts the line of Kitsune culture with heavy influences from you as the father. She's more affectionate and doesn't hide it inside all the layers of Kitsune etiquette. I do like to go the Hime route if I go the Noble Scion background though. It makes sense there. On that note I do think Tobs missed out on having certain backgrounds affect the scale on getting either Hime or Inari by having certain interactions differ based on those backgrounds (and thus adding or subtracting additional points).

I did always find it weird that they aged up Kinu when they're released from the amulet. Like maybe they were planning on having her be a party member in the future or the unlikely scenario that they were going to add some NSFW scenes with her but decided to forgo incest in the game

The whole aging up thing was part of the whole 'equivalent exchange' deal kitsunes like to flaunt.

No, neither of those were ever in the cards.
