Introductions, Praise and Few Quick Questions!

Heeeeey all

I stumbled into this part of the web a few years ago, then forgot about it (I blame my ADHD). I am really impressed with the progress made so far. TiTS is really fun so far and I'm excited to see how CoC2 goes. My favorite thing is having your companions react/join in the win/loss scenes. I'm so ashamed of myself, I played all yesterday and got no work done!

I am not an RPer, but I do enjoy adult games like Flexible survival where you can RP out transformations and stuff. I've been learning on and off (more off than on) to draw for the last few years and now I've inspired again. Oh, internet, you have really corrupted me. Initially, I just wanted to learn to draw so I could draw cool black/POC fantasy characters - especially centaurs for some reason. Now, I still want to do that, but that centaur needs to be dicking down one of my Champions, lol.

Now, quick questions:

1. In TiTs, I fought that machine before asking Carl about it. Do I have to restart? If so, is there any way to prevent this in the future?
2. For all games, is there a way to view the different branches. I'm fine with replaying but sometimes I really don't wanna - especially if there are just a few slight changes in tone, etc.
3. Just curious how many save files do you guys have? Not gonna lie, I play with the wiki open so I can read the stuff I want. Sometimes I really don't want to replay things over and over - otherwise I would go in blind.
4. In CoC2 what exact is easy mode? Do you have to load it at the start of a new game? I think I flipped the switch a few in-game weeks in and I don't really think I saw a difference. BUT..it was late at night and I was tired.

1. No idea.
2. Keep save states with different notes on them.
3. Uh, for all the games here? About 20.
4. Not sure. I want the forest to have more stuff before I dig back in. I'm currently going through Fall of Eden since Alder is tinkering with it, never played it before.

1) That's not supposed to happen...
2) Only by keeping multiple saves.
3) For TitS: 46 and counting. And excluding the ones I deleted or overwrote by accident. I make a new one at least once a month. The rest: I made 7+ per game, but so far have only played one save for each. :Shrug:
4) Easy mode makes the encounter rate far lower last I checked. You also do more damage, but the enemies in the old forest are too weak for you to notice. Got to the Foothills at a low level, or to the Valley, or do just about any quest as soon as it's available, and you'll notice the difference.
