Intended? Automatic loss on PC defeat.

I started picking fights with the harpies, in one fight, my character gets brought down, I thought surely Cait could finish off the last low health harpy remaining, but no, it immediately cuts to my character getting mounted and used. I put this into bug reports, thinking this was not intended, but Drake says for the time being, it is. Is the PC defeat intended to be an auto-loss regardless of the state of the rest of your party?

I am literally the head coder, and I said that it is. I'm not sure who you're asking, as the only person who can trump me is Savin, and he was the one who made the decision in the first place. For the time being, yes, the PC being defeated is supposed to trigger a loss. This could change, but it'd have to come from Savin.

I figured it was appropriate to ask here rather than PM him directly when this may wind up being a recurring question <_<. Sorry.

It sounds alot like what persona 3-5 has going on. As much of a cruel system it is. It gives the player a meaningful and impact ful role as party leader. "Cut off the head" so to speak. Once the general or what not falls moral drops and most groups fall to pieces.

Yeah I've never personally been a fan of only the pc needing to be ko'd to cause a loss. Half the point of party members it to be allabative defenses against a loss.

I wonder if it would be hard to code an automated stack of attacks between NPC's and enemies if you pass out/lose all resolve? I could see it working much like a stun or paralyzation with flavour text depending on if your HP or resolve are at 0.

(I also notice that if your party member reaches 0HP, you can just heal them again, in the event your protag is also a white mage)
