Hi, I'm posting yet another project
In all seriousness, I promise this will be the last big project I formally begin until my backlog is either refused or accepted, but I swear this is another task that just gripped me, I've had so much fun getting this going. If I didn't start this I wouldn't have been happy with any other overall interpretation of representing this gang. When I saw they were all mouse-morphs I knew I had to be there, dammit! Well it took some time but I did get there.
Without further ado, I am writing representatives for one of Zheng Shi's Top 5 gangs, 'Rat's Raiders': the Rat Thieves.
They're a gang of Rodenians and Mouse-morph characters that are described as Robin Hood types. I haven't gotten shot down so it's time for the thread now that there's something presentable. I think I've stuck well to the vision for them. More importantly, I feel like I've hit their personalities just right. Now that I have their encounter down and the combat ironed out, here's the brief bullet point summary.
Rat Thieves - Roden Hoods of Zheng Shi
They're greedy! They're fun! They're cute!
They're the rats!
Update - August 9th
-Added Intro and Identification scenes.
- Finished ironing out combat.
-Added pcKnown tag to denote text for Rats knowing Steele's Identity
-Edited all that was worked on, meaning only sex scenes have to be written now.
Original Text:
That's the gist of it. All the gangs in Zheng Shi are based on the player's own templates: Jumpers = Smugglers, Corona Lords = Mercenaries, Cyber Punks = Tech Specialists, and Star Vipers = Lust/Teasers. What is more appropriate than mixing a couple of those into three mice?
There is one thing that I direly need help with, however. The gang description from Fen/Savin is that Rat's Raiders delight in robbing megacorporations. Steele is the sire of a massively successful CEO. There is so much potential in the interaction if I can just figure out how to make it an organic point of continuity!! For all my ideas I just don't know how to make it jive with what I've created so far!
Nobody on Zheng Shi knows Steele and when you pretend to be a slave, there's even a line saying "better not use the Steele" part here when talking to Ardia the first time.
I'm loathe to tying a decent bit of content into losing to them because some people just might not lose, ya know. But please: Give me your thoughts & ideas on how to get these klepto pirates to learn about Steele! That's my last obstruction into feeling perfect about all I've got planned.
And besides, if they learned about the PC's heritage, they'd keep it to themselves.
Well, that's that. Don't hesitate to let me know about anything you think might be off tone or just plain wrong, I'll engage with that pronto. I feel like I've made some very strong progress on this despite some laziness, and all I really have to do are the sex scenes. If I can get a good way to introduce them and even make them learn about Steele, that'll be very quick and easy to slot in as well.

Rat Thieves - Roden Hoods of Zheng Shi
They're greedy! They're fun! They're cute!
They're the rats!
- Rat Thieves are a 3 vs. PC fight. There are only males and females, and they have different skills and items they will use in combat. They're meant to be weaker overall than the other Zheng Shi enemies and have no specialties except safety in numbers.
- Their main schtick in a fight is to stun and tackle the player, then try to steal money or gems them in combat. If they get something, the looter can flee with your $$! Meaning, they can win even if they lose.
- They are always encountered attempting to shake down the player. The PC can pay them in credits, gems, offer oral, or breastfeed them to get out of it. Small chances for sex offers to fail, though!
- Sex scenes are all threesome oriented. That's what drove me to make them a multi-foe fight in addition to all of the above stuff. Robin Hood gang? Merry rats? Yes please!
- Since a Rodenian Female is present, includes Ear Sex. Rodenians were added over a year ago weren't they? Time to see a fleshed out one in regular space.
