I usually explore everywhere in one go when I go through a region and after I got through Khor'minos I went back the the cave near the Marefolk village, I entered and left the cave just to have it open earlier in game, it said it was blocked by rubble and what not. Is that what happens if you explore the area and ignore it or is it the result of progressing through Khor'minos with Brint up to a certain point?

I just entered the Undermountain without ever exploring the Mad Cow cave and when I went to the cave, because I hadn't yet, there wasn't anything blocking me.

Kinda sucks that there has to be a cutoff, but makes sense that it would cause problems with their storyline(and probably cause hella bugs) if you were to change too late.
Maybe brint could prompt you and start a quest about going to find this armor. That way players will know exactly when the cutoff happens, in case they leave it off, as well as not be at risk of missing out in case they play the game outside of their release order. Only trick would be making it perfectly clear that what they're looking for is a cursed item that's gonna boob up the bull.
Or, y'know, can just leave it as is and let Brienne be an easteregg

I was more talking from the perspective of a new player who doesn't worship the wiki. Currently the only way to get Brienne is to go to an unlabeled, out of the way area without being prompted and give Brint a suit of armor that offers no clue to its effect. And if you follow the main questline instead of exploring the Valley, you will be locked out of it forever without ever knowing.

That sounds like an easter egg to me, regardless of her popularity. Which is why, since she's such a big selling point, I was suggesting adding some means of making the player aware of it ingame.

Yeah, honestly, I feel žthat Brint probably turns off more players then he gains, so having something along the lines of big red sign along the lines "No worries guys, you can turn this bull into a best girl". Because really, not having it just seems like shooting yourself in a foot. Especially considering, going by statistics, Brienne is second most popular companion, and I do wonder how much more she would gain if she came along from the start instead of being saddled to a big log.

"Hey champ, it's me, Brint. I heard story about this cool thing south of the valley. Let us go there" quest start
then when you check out the mare armor, the quest completes whether or not you take the armor.

which, most importantly, means that if you dont check out the armor, the quest fails when you pass the point of no return in the undermountain.
as a sort of "hey, you're missing out on content you may or may not care about"

But, please just don't describe Brint sound like a some cheap freebie. I make sure that there must some fans who usually play as a girl or maid which wana get a good care or fuck, like him even love him. That description is uncomfortable for someone, at least, for me.

I do consider him basically a male Cait in terms of appeal. A walking man slut/players bull that fucks everyone but has special place for you in his heart. Which while sweet, I would rather have someone that does not fool around that much, like Brienne, since I feel like we already have to many guys like Brint in this game. Especially with recent minotaur expansion. And I am not using this to insult people or him. As said, people love that he is this big tough but lovable guy that fucks every living thing under the sun/mountain including the player. That is his appeal. He is just not for me as he is. Which is a shame since I do like his design.
And technically, he is a freebie. His recruitment, no offense, is only slightly more involved than Caits.
