1.)I did not make this thread for personal gain, I made it for everyone's gain.

2.) If anyone wonders by some random chance, yes I do have ideas of my own.

3.) I know very well that my ideas will probably not be in the game, I just want to give potential ideas.

4.) I don't do coding, so please remember, I only made this thread for 2 reasons : 1. For everyone's gain. 2 . For anyone to give potential equipment & planet content.

Ah, equipment. As someone who loves bashing through hordes of xeno scum enemies, it's always nice to get new toys.
I'd love to see more high-tier melee weapons that focus on kinetic rather than energy damage, ditto for guns. Maybe some sort of club with a superdense core of depleted nickle? Or a handheld rail gun, that'd be a neato thing to play with. I'd also like to see some more combat-viable accessories. It honestly feels like the jetpack is too good to pass up sometimes, particularly if I'm playing a smuggler. Perhaps we could get a fancier version of the aim-assist accessory we find on Tarkus? Some sort of tactical visor? Or maybe accessories that function as "weapon attachments" and change the properties of your firearm attacks- incendiary ammunition, et cetera.

New shields would also be nice. Feels like the one we get in the Myrellion quest is the end of the road for generators right now, but I can't really think of any sidegrades that'd be interesting and/or viable. Makes me wonder if it'd be possible to make a shield that gives 0 shields but supplies a ton of resistances as long as it's equipped.

Sorry for the incoherent rant. This sort of stuff is just fun to think about.

Don't worry, I don't think anyone would mind and man, you put in a lot more thought into that post then I did making this thread! Your overall thoughts on the matter are highly appreciated!

I think Hugs was working on one here right? Though more of them are a welcome idea as well!

Also, I think there's a similar thread like this in the General section already?

He was. Its not a energy weapon. And only deals half frost damage. probably good for mercs, but not for techs. Or for exploiting freezing weakness either.

Yeah, that was a bit unfortunate... if I weren't busy on a project already and knew more about the coding of the game, I'd love to make a few weapons and stuff myself.

This sleek azure rifle uses a water condensers and industrial coolers to generate reservoirs of supercooled liquid that freeze upon impact. However, effective range is limited as hardlight bubbles used to deliver the supercooled liquid persist less than a second away from the generator.
Damage: 18 freezing
Tags: Energy Weapon, freeze (stun) chance

This was the result of a brainstorm to try and create a energy gun. Because i was vary unsatisfied with what Hugs came up with. Idea is now dead so its up for grabs if anyone wants to complete it.

I like this idea, though 30 points of shield regen might be a tad on the OP side at the moment as a lot of enemies in the game rarely inflict more than 30 points of damage per turn. 20% bonus shields might be a tad much as well for a starter public model. Especially for an early model, I'd prolly go for something around 5-10 shield points per turn and like 10% bonus shields and make upgrades from there!

My techie is screaming for this to be a thing though!

True, but I meant for it to be found on uveto or Myrellion, or for future planets.

Ice weapon is meh. Too powerful if anything. Gun sounds better but has seriously quality control issues.
