You have to buy five items, and/or five services to recruit him. After you give him money five times, he will ask to join you. If you say no, he will never be recruit-able again, so be careful with your clicks.
Three times to use his services to get him to camp then I think three to five more use of his services in camp to unlock Reducto. If you not have any demonic Tf items to purify then just buy some dye or lotions.
Or you can buy it from incubus which moves in Zetaz cave after you clean it. He sells it much cheaper than Rathazul as well. Just don't drive him off, he is harmless.
