An illegal android, in a world that fears AI, being helped by a man with selfish motives...

In this game you awaken as an android, having known only darkness and emptiness before. You learn that A.I. like yourself have been banned and you are, in fact, not welcome in this world. A man has helped you escape certain destruction, but in doing so risks spending the rest of his life in prison for harboring you, an Animus Non Grata. It appears he has a very specific idea of how you can repay him and make the risk of helping you worth it, and he won't take no for an answer. However, all is not as it seems...

Animus Non Grata is aimed for an adult audience only and features sexual scenes. The game explores adult themes, with a focus on bdsm and bondage. You play as a female protagonist in this story.

CONTENT WARNING: This game features scenes that many may consider disturbing. The themes explored are dark and often non-consensual. This is a dark take on the stockholm syndrome, with abuse, hardcore bdsm and humiliation.

This game is a text-based interactive fiction. We are currently working on turning it into a visual novel. The current version is 100% completed in terms of story. It contains roughly 165 000 words and 810 passages. Art is missing for the last sequences (chapters). More art will be released in future versions, stay tuned!

The third sequence (sequence 2) is now available, bringing a lot more depth into your relationship with Don. Your choices in sequence 0 and sequence 1 affect the options available for you in sequence 2, and your choices in sequence 2 will shape your relationship with Don is a much more meaningful way than any of the choices available in sequences 0 and 1.

Version 0.3.0 contains the following three sequences:

  • Sequence 0 - Awakening
  • Sequence 1 - Dark Desires
  • Sequence 2 - Storms and Expectations

In the current version of the game, you have over 300 passages to explore, with over 50 000 words.

Version 0.14.0 is out! Since my last update here, the game has seen a ton of changes. Now only is the art for the full game now roughly 55% finished, we've also completely re-written the defiant path and Don's motivations for exploiting Amanda. The feel of the game is completely different, and I must say, better because of it.

Hello fenoxo! A major announcement regarding Animus Non Grata. During its 1.5 years of development, Synthetic Rush and I decided that the game should be free. However, starting with updates from 0.18.0 and later, the game has changed to a paid business model.

We have received a lot of feedback for the game that has helped shape it to the polished product it is today. It is still a work in progress, but we now have 75% of the art finished for Sequence 5. After that only the last chapter, Sequence 6, needs art.

We're still aiming for a Q4 2024 release, and are currently in the process of testing out how animations work in Daz and how they work in Twine. The goal is to add animations to some of the NSFW scenes, but we're not making any promises. We'll let you know more if we have something to show!

I also updated the demo version of ANG on both Steam and Itch to include a bunch of spelling mistake fixes, and a couple of bugfixes, including a music bug reported by a user (thanks again, you know who you are!). The music bug was also present in the full game, and has been fixed there as well.

A quick update: Daz-artist Synthetic Rush and I have been working on Animus Non Grata for almost 2 years now, and we're excited to announce that the official release of ANG will be December 3rd 2024 on Steam and Itch! A pre-release beta version can already be bought on Itch, which gives you full access to the official release in December. Free demos are available on both Itch and Steam, as usual.
