So I know that dialogue mostly changes when the pc is dark knight, but are there situations where just tainted will affect it as well?
How often does the corruption level get checked?

As far as I know, nothing. Perhaps with Neila's corruption trigger but I believe that has a minimum threshold before it starts counting.
I ask because I'm almost certain tetsuya's does, so is it more or less never besides that? Nice. I can play a mildly corrupt character without being an evil bastard then
No. Not really. The interactions are determined by PC personality. There is Standard, Dark Knight, and Bimbo.
