How does one equip the Dawnsword again after reaching 75 corruption?

I have a character that reached 75+ corruption after spending just a bit too much time with Alissa. This made them unable to equip the dawnsword but upon reducing my corruption below 75 I still found myself unable to equip the sword. Is there anything I can do short of save editing to fix this or am I resigned to trading it for the Guldring?

I had mine uncorrupted by Lumia, I don't know if she can do anything about an already uncorrupted Dawnsword that doesn't like your Champ. Maybe talk with her. Otherwise I hear there might be auto saved you can access if you don't have a manual one.

Yeah that seems to be it, the only way I think I'm comfortable using the sword again is if I can save edit out the dark knight persona, but that seems like a dubious task to achieve. Oh well.

The PC personality gets changed to Dark knight at 75 corruption, but to get back to normal personality you have to lower it down to a lower threshold to lose it, something like 50 or 25, I can't remember which.

Btw, if you want to take actions that increase your corruption but still remain pure then either get a blessing from Sanders or wear the Ring of Fate. Both of these reduce corruption gain by 1/2. Unfortunately, they don't stack with eachother.

At best, check if there's an autosave that might help.

How do autosaves Work and how can I load one?

I was playing for a while and forgot to manually save when a power surge erased a few hours of progress, in the menu the autosave option says it saves every 5 minutes but I don't know how to load said autosave.
